Anne is so good to Gilbert. Anne is always comforting, to Gilbert, Cole, Diana, Prissy, Josie. It doesn’t matter who it is she’s always there for them. The way they cried together is beautiful. That was the moment they fell for eachother and i could see it. It was such an emotional moment between the two and it really bonded them. They both held on tight and gave eachother the comfort and love they both needed in that moment. Mary was very dear to both of them. Gilbert as a mother and Anne as a friend. I love this scene so much

Anne is full of life. She has been bullied but is still a positive person. Deep down she is depressed but she keeps her head up and focuses on the things she is passionate about. Like her friends, living creatures, nature and love. She will do anything to keep her friends and that’s why everyone is always so rude to her because they know that she is positive. They always wanna bring her down, but she will keep going. This show is actually realistic and that’s why I like it

If Cole wasn't for the bbn other team I would have loved her and Cole together!but there friendship is enough oh well her and Gilbert are really cute and that scene is amazing the moment of vulnerability it really showed how Anne has always believed in him...

The best part about this scene was when Gilbert held on to Anne back. That was so sad and cute at the same time.

She challenges him constantly and is strong enough to be the one to help him as he is equally strong mentally. Almost as strong anyway lol

Scene: Gilbert and Anne are headed toward Gilbert's house due to Mary being ill. Gilbert: "I don't think I'm supposed to be a doctor... Doctors are supposed to... I was... (nervous laugh) I had to tell her! But I.." Anne: "Oh Gilbert-" Anne pauses. Gilbert: "No, don't. I'm not the one dying. I'm not the one who's losing everything. I'm just-" Anne: "A friend, who delivered the most terrible news to someone they love." Gilbert: "Mary needed me to be strong... I just made it worst, I couldn't find the words and I made it worst!" Anne: "Would you have been consoled by some dispassionate delivery-" Anne runs to catch up and Gilbert looks back, pausing to see her. Anne grabs his arm. Anne: "I hope you never have to do something like that again, but I don't think you'll be able to avoid it. People will come to you, Gilbert, and they'll bring their children, and everyone they hold dear to see a doctor who cares just as much as they do." Gilbert sighs. Anne: "You will be a wonderful doctor. Caring deeply will always be the right thing." Anne passes Gilbert, exiting the conversation. Gilbert is conflicted. He then continues to follow her. Scene 2: Gilbert looks at the house, suddenly shaky and frightened. He breathes out, harsh breaths. Anne looks at Gilbert, worryingly. Anne grabs his shoulders and hugs him, tenderly. Gilbert, calmly, grabs her back and pulls her closer. Anne, cries with him. The warm embrace being short yet meaningful. Anne escapes the hug and nods, Gilbert nodding back. They walk inside. Scene 3: Anne rides in on a horse. She grabs the hat from her basket, enveloped in flowers of many sorts. Gilbert exits the porch and walks up to Anne as the horse steadies. Gilbert: "Beautiful." He was looking up at Anne, not really sure if he was calling Anne beautiful or the hat. Either way, they're adorable. Anne rides off on her horse.

One of my favorites, as we see Anne and Gilbert comfortably share their emotions and feelings with each other, and then comfort each other.

THIS SCENE IS SO GORGEOUS!! THE WAY HE HELD ONTO HER 🥺🥺 Anne and Gilbert are SOULMATES to me..I don't wanna hear anything else. Also the music that plays during that moment is simply divine 😍

I forget how wholesome and good of a show this is. Great show that deals with mature and real world themes while maintaining humanity and decency.

Gilbert is such a good cryer. Idek if that even makes sense or not. But i like how he slowly starts crying, and how Lucas Zumann doesn't rush the emotions. Really good quality acting.

People fail into seeing Gilbert past the cute/hot romantic interest. He has his own arc too, he lost his father, get a new family even thught, unfortunely according to society, they shouldn't be, AND got a new passion in which he struggle to know if it is right for him in the process, but he shows that he can nailed it. He's someone trying to find his place in the world again after grief, and it gurts that people only talk about during Shilbert moments.

Yup, thats what I think makes him such a compelling love-interest. He has his own growth and arc, and through the grief and tragedy he remains a kind and compassionate person, or even grows into a kind and compassionate person. Moreover, you see bits of Anne's personality rub off on him, and you see bits of his rub off on her. It makes the whole friendship and eventual romance feel authentic. I feel like in a lot of other shows/stories they'd get to their first kiss or romantic declaration by the end of season one, then have an on-off will they won't they type of thing to build the tension, because thats easy. But this show/story chose the hard route of building an authentic-feeling friendship first, so that when the romance happens it is believable and we're all rooting for it. I do wish though that season 3 was slower, I feel like the passing of time was a bit faster, and the end a little rushed. But completely understandable given it wasn't getting a 4th season.

Upgrades guys, upgrades, Gilbert goes from suppressing his grief in s1 from sharing it with someone now. Anne too, she goes from being terrible at comforting Gilbert to providing the words of comfort that he needs. Their relationship has evolved so much and I love it.
