Not exactly for looks as Anna was supposedly mentioned to have light hair, but accent and personality wise, definitely.

Elsa Manchester’s version is not as insulting as the video seems to show as she is personally trying to appear unattractive to the King so he would call of the wedding since she knows the way he treated his previous wives.

In due honesty Elvi Hale was probably most accurate history wise of the two meeting together. Elsa Lanchester gets a pass because she is trying to get out of the marriage and is purposefully trying to look ugly so she doesn’t have to marry Henry due to his reputation.

Judging by the Holbein portrait, and Holbein is by far and away one of the most accurate painters in history, Anne was attractive, but was simply not Henry's type. She was tall and fuller figured while Henry preferred smaller women. She was blonde (her headpiece in the portrait concealed her hair) while Henry preferred brunettes and redheads. Moreover, she could not dance, could not play any instruments, and spoke only German, a language that Henry did not understand. And I suppose her negative reaction when she first saw him did not help!

Not Henry complaining that Anne was the one who was ugly and that Cromwell had lied to him about her beauty because he was humiliated during their first meeting 😭

He did her so wrong, she wasn’t even ugly.

Elvi Hale was the most fun portrayal, I like how it shows how both Henry and Anne equal in their distaste for each other but ends with them equally respecting each other.

Joss stone stand out for me as Anne of Cleves, the earlier portrayals were good for caricature and comedic relief

Although the second oldest with Elvi Hale actually got their first meeting right as Anna was disgusted with Henry flirting with her when she didn’t know who he was.

Harry burst into her room and kissed her dressed as a commoner, as the last clip shows. It was a dress up game he did with Katherine of Aragon and of course everyone indulged him. But for her, a woman in a foreign country no less, from her POV a commoner barges in and touches her and that one moment of genuine repulsion bruised Henry's ego and welp... but Holbein didn't make a false painting. If he did why did he remain in the king's good graces even afterwards Cromwell lost his head? Ambassadors spoke highly of her beauty and character. That portrait showed her actual face, Henry just got a bruised ego which burst his self made Im in lovebubble.

Elvi Hale and Joss Stone's Portrayals are probably my Favourite depictions of Anna Von Kleve.

Elvi Hale's Anne was wonderful! This unsophisticated provincial German Princess was the smartest, most politically astute and pragmatic of all of the wives. She knew exactly what her marriage was about and turned a bad situation to her advantage with lightning speed. Anne got her divorce, money, properties and for the first time in her life, independence. Awesome work!

Despite the comedic portrayal, Elsa Lanchester, in my opinion, comes off as the most accurate depiction of Anne of Cleves.

Although, the only thing missing was the first meeting where Henry pretended to be Robin Hood while Anna was not charmed one bit.

I would say that she just happens to not fit Henry's "definition" of beauty, but she is considered beautiful in her native home. She is fuller figured and taller than Henry's previous wives. His most previous, Jane, is more "delicate" that Henry desired while Anna is just different from that. Also, she had a different education than what is expected in England as she only knew how to speak German and was not amused by Henry's antics of trying to dress as Robin Hood for their introduction. Her portrait was stated to be accurate, and it is a mixture of Henry's ego and cultural differences that caused him to be turned off by her.
