Yes, she appeared to be in the mist of manic episode, nevertheless, everything she shared was heartfelt, and important! I think she was in an ENORMOUS amount of personal pain, so sad. She was an incredible actress and human being. Sending condolences and healing to her family. May Ms. Heche rest in eternal peace.😞

@@angeladowler3088 that depends on what was done i went thru serious ungodly abuse by my mother the effects of that was grave i nearly lost my mind met a man who further abused me also brainwashed my own kids to abuse me for years im still in therapy trying to get over it and i will put the blame where it lies with the parent who abused me so bad one of my kids now an adult told me how it destroyed him his own father conditioning him to bully and abuse me the pain of the effects are unimaginable

This is painful to watch. She’s in such a bad place here. Mine doesn’t seem to be a popular opinion but I’m so sad for her and all the other millions of people that have untreated mental illness. So many of these people self medicate with alcohol and drugs and the end result is too often tragedy and loss. I’m so thankful she didn’t kill anyone and I pray for the person whose house she ran into and her. 😞

RIP. She was declared brain dead on August 11. I will never forget meeting her through a relative in 1999. Volcano was my favorite childhood movie that I binge watched like crazy. Thank you, Anne, for entertaining my vivid and wild child imagination and playing along when I asked how hot the lava was when you were filming the movie…mind you all, special effects and movie magic were foreign thoughts to me. She went along with it…leaving me wide eyed and agape with my mouth. Rest easy, Anne.

You know, I liked that movie Volcano too, even though it was just a rip off movie of a better movie, Dante's Peak, but I admit I liked it too. I also liked that movie she did with Harrison Ford, Six Days Seven Nights. She was a good actress, but a bit manic in her real life but I never cared about that and didn't judge. In her craft of acting she was always great! RIP Anne.

Shes actually really an interesting and intelligent woman. Just needed help and made bad decisions&Choices. 🙏 Like every human. God bless.

I remember watching her interview with Ellen on Oprah and she’s way more subdued so is it mania? Or drugs? Or something else like nervousness? IDT it’s alcohol. I sure hope she survives and makes changes/gets help. Also healing vibes to her, her family and the people that were brought into her tragedy ( woman in her house, neighbors bravery, firefighters EMS and doctors and nurses). To add to your "clearly"...she's clearly a very intelligent person, she is clearly aware of things more than the average. I came here after hearing about her car crash, then someone suggested watching this interview. Initially, I thought, oh yeah, I see now how the car crash and hit and run happened. Uh huh, prison time. But if you actually listen to what she is saying at manic speed, it's not just gibberish. The woman is all there and then some, more than most people. It's been a while that I've actually listened to what a Hollywood star had to say. The only problem is the mania. She's lucky she came out of this alive and didn't kill anyone or animals but her future doesn't look good. It's very unfortunate.

She is a highly intelligent person and seems to be a really nice lady . But what happened was really unfortunate and the video of her flying down the street so quickly makes you wonder what exactly was going on . I don't know if it's true but somebody said that before the crash she was in an interview saying that she's drinking vodka and following it with wine .

If you listen carefully you can hear individual words. The only thing wasnt incoherent babble was what she said about cancel culture. That was actually spot on. The rest is just word salad.

Perfect example of how mania works. All the brilliant ideas you have, the brain seems to work so fast you can’t even express all you have to tell, the things you normally keep to yourself because “what would they think?” Don’t mind at that time. It’s a blessed and lucid state but hard to control, because you’re too close to danger and keep moving up and down all the time even with a hard effort to stay at a stable point (that most of times hides the brightness). A hard battle.

You are likely wrong and need to research, study and understand Mania. Otherwise, you dismiss a beautiful, creative, human being with a mental challenge that YOU do not understand, thereby invalidating the human being. That said, I don't know her either. MAYBE drugs are involved. Definitely not alcohol. She's much too coherent in her thoughts. I'm no 'expert'. I DO have SOME educational experience in mental health disorders and have worked in the field BUT, I'm no expert, either. Her behavior, to the misinformed, appears to be drug and or alcohol induced yet, it's not. It's MANIA. look it up. God bless her for dealing with it and STILL being able to act as characters who aren't manic. Too often, people judge others according to the world they live in... NOT how life goes. The world does not operate according to Shannon or, me.... Life is deep. Please be willing to go DEEP and not be a surface dweller. When Anne said “Why are we still telling this story?” Oh my goodness that hit home for me!

She said a lot of poignant and insightful things but she was extremely manic. Mania plus drugs, especially an upper like cocaine doesn't end well. I am saddened by all the negativity out there. She was a had a huge heart and wanted to better the world through kindness. Her last kind deed was donating her organs. Let's follow her example and be kind to one another.

Very sad situation for her today. She is very animated and hyped in this video yet I don't know if this is a baseline for her behavior, but maybe an intervention was needed? And now, when I think about her laying down on that gurney and suddenly popping up, that's all that pent up energy. Hard to sit still, like a tortured soul. She looks frail but I hope she's strong pulls through.

Her movements on the gurney were likely not conscious. More a physical reaction of her brain to "jump start" her breathing through her horribly damaged lungs. A last effort. It must have been horrific and I hope she was not really "there" in her mind to feel the pain.

Now that toxicology reports say she had cocaine in her system at the time of the crash, I wonder if she was high during that interview. I’m only speaking from my experience, but my dad was bipolar and he was never like that during his manic states. He never ever spoke that fast. I would have been so anxious around Anne during that interview. There was definitely something going on.

Funny thing about that, I met lots of girls in school growing up, for being hyper and they always got stigmatized by classmates for being potential druggies. There’s just a certain kind of people with that kind of frequency. It’s sad that this could still carry on into adulthood, being stigmatized and labeled on mere speculation.

RIP Anne Heche! I got into a BAD accident in Nevada years ago that I miraculously survived. But, I defied all odds! Even a surgeon had passed my scene & didn't think I made it. I was messed up, but, I learned from it. I FEEL BAAAD for the lady whose house it was tho too!!! But, she & her animals survived thank God! I feel for ANYONE going thru it & who have gone thru it in the past! If it was meant to be the end for her? She got her wish.

But if this is something else, hope she has someone in her circle to affirm just how amazing she is (because she •is• beautiful, smart, insightful and looks like she's in her twenties) but also ask her if there is anything else going on that she needs help with. Anne was diagnosed with bipolar disorder and this is what appears to be a manic episode and this could be very normal when someone gets out of their comfort zone or stimulated by being out in public or situation so this just could be very situational, but looks abnormal to us who doesn’t have Bipolar disorder

WHY didn't anyone help her during this show? IF they truly liked or cared about her, they would've sought medical treatment for her. She's either manic or under the influence of a stimulent, or both. Anne 💔 She was clearly not well even in this interview. She seems manic, like she's on some sort of drug - perhaps cocaine? My heart breaks that her life got such a sad end. Thinking of her family. And for those spewing hate on her - she did NOT ruin that woman's home on purpose! Get over your fake high morale which is only to put someone else down. Hollywood is tough. There is a lot of pressure to be thin and when you cross a certain age and you’re still taking Adderall you’re doing a couple lines of cocaine your hormones are way different and you can’t control that hard anymore… Have you ever tuned into the real housewives of Beverly Hills listen to how some of those women talk they’re a little younger than Anne Heche .. but this is typical Hollywood after the age of 40 and even the younger girls but it’s always OK when they are high or doing meth. It’s just a bad look when you’re over a certain age

What an absolute manic mess. WTF is going on with this Emmy Award winning actress and director??? Not sure what's going on in Hollywood,....but in the last 5 years,....more actors have passed away than any other time in my time being alive for 46 years of life. Just for clarity,....Anne just drove into a house and caught the house and herself on fire. She is unfortunately in critical condition. Hope she get well soon. But something goin on in the Wood.

Watching her, she has a Lucille Ball feel. Personally, I feel that she may have been nervous which contributed to her rapid talking but all of her points were important. She's a very talented actress and it's sad that Hollywood (back then it was a male driven industry) cancelled her for her personal choices.

Sad. Obviously some issues mentally and with substance abuse. I hope she will come through this healed physically and mentally. I think she had a tragic early life that severely damaged her. The drunk driving is inexcusable though, thankfully she didn't kill anyone.

I watched her on Another World in the early 90's. She was amazing, mesmerizing, and endlessly talented as the twins Vicky and Marley. The main difference seeing her now 3 decades later is her voice is much more gravelly and deep, and she appears in the the throes of mania, and possibly drug related high energy. I feel so sad for her family after her passing away.

Return To Paradise, and Six Days Seven Nights were two solid performances I thought we'd see more of her.

She is on some serious drug and needs help!

Anne was manic during this interview but damn, she was articulate and absolutely brilliant!!

RIP to a brilliant talent, an incredibly smart mind and a heart bursting with love and acceptance. Yes, she clearly had substance abuse/addiction issues, but i have to say I'm sorry we have lost a brilliant person here - i hope humanity breeds more people like her in our future.

I swear to my children, as i am watching this interview with Anne,.. I am like she is definitely an air sign heavy also she reminds me of Russell brand and myself.
