@@tbz1551 You're not wrong. But the way it plays out on screen with Strong is something else. And while I don't think the Succession cast loved his approach and there was obviously tension there, they all seem to have a genuine appreciation and affection for him. Could he have been Kendall in such an iconic fashion without being such a drain on his cast mates? Who knows.
What a brilliant discussion. Hathaway's interviewing style perfectly compliments Strong's earnest expression and love of acting. It's clear they both have a great deal of respect for one another, no 'tall poppy syndrome' to be seen.

Hell no! Tig Natoru just did Conan's podcast where she said "i don't know any celebs. anne hathaway introduced herself as 'that actress anne hathaway' in a nice way". I was like okay if she has the sense to say that despite the fame she's gold.

Uh oh, that’s a very Scandinavia philosophy that’s led to group think and very little notable art. Being a tall poppy def has its place in the arts. It’s probably most effective to have tall poppy syndrome within but outwardly pretend to not in order to calm viewers like yourself who I assume can be easily triggered due to not achieving their own potential. Bc if YOU do achieve your potential in a world where the majority of people do not put into the work and intelligence to do so, then you will be a taller poppy in the field

Leaving a quick, perfunctory comment as an expression of admiration-since I think it’s cool that actors whose work I casually enjoy maintain a friendly off-screen rapport-is in no way an expression of my deeper philosophical beliefs. Jeremy is inspiring. Saw him first in The Big Short and the first instinct I had was to go and look for his other work. It's strange coz he didn't even have that big a role. He's just completely absorbed and that absorbs you too. Very easy to criticise anyone today and call 'cringe.' I feel heartened to know that embracing your individuality is how you actualise.
I've been a fan of Anne since Get Real first came out. She is such a beautifully intelligent person. I don't just love her because of her acting jobs, because those are always spectacular, but because she is just simply an inspiring Human.

Jeremy Strong is one of the greatest actors of all time. The way he plays Kendall in succession is out of this world.
Both are amazing actors. I love that Anne Hathaway finished by mentioning that it was the end of their presence in the physical space but not the end of the conversation topic and idea.
Such an intellectual discussion! Worth listening to, irrespective of your career.
This pairing seem very balanced and somehow they both elevate each other’s accomplishments.
Anne Hathaway so so talented! One of my faves on the screen since childhood. She looks so pretty and elegant here too
