My go-to expert on Anne Boleyn is Claire Ridgway, an historian expert on Anne Boleyn. She's written many history books on Anne, her brother. She is the ultimate authority on the countdown. Her book is excellent. I've read Alison Weir's and I'm still more impressed by Claire. You should cover her and she does a podcast on every Anne Boleyn. That $8000 food budget is for all the people under Anne's care as well as Queen Anne.

She had very few supporters and she alienated them, the people didnt love her and she was seen as a homewrecker, which she was, so when started gossiping with Jane Boleyn abt Henry's bedroom issues and she still had not produced an heir (the whole reason for the marriage) her fate was sealed, which kinda was her own doing, if she had not threathened Cromwell, who felt genuinely cornered by her and decided to act decisively against ber, had she at least kept quiet and pretend to be more meek, her fall would have being delayed and she probably would have been spared and dispatched to a nunnery

Winnie the Pooh did say "tut, tut" :-) But Pooh stories don't seem like Norfolk's kind of thing even if they'd existed back then. Maybe he'd have been a nicer person if he'd read more Winnie the Pooh! Anyway, great episode! It's nice to not be alone in thinking of Anne around this time of year.

There was nothing Norfolk could do. Even if he was a terrible person, there was nothing that was going to stop Henry.
