After everything he did to get a male heir, his daughter ended up being one of the most famous monarchs of all time. 45 glorious, peaceful years under her reign. Fluent in 5 languages, extremely intelligent, although shrewd she was determined and dedicated to her responsibilities as queen. Far overshadowing her father.

It's a pity she couldn't afford to marry and continue their bloodline just because it'd mean surrendering her ruling rights to her husband (not to mention the risk of dying during childbirth) because of succession laws. He never considered her just because he wanted a male to carry his name.

It feels like Genghis Khan only had full respect and understanding of what his daughters were capable of. Anyone who knows his interactions with them ended up in them being rulers of his conquered land because he didn't trust his son. And ofc he was right in that distrust of his sons because it was one of his sons that ended up collapsing his empire in a bid for more power. It wasn't until another queen appeared in mongolia that things started to be better again.

She was a very successful person and I think it was very smart of her not to marry (honestly all of Henry VIII's children were probably traumatized beyond belief) but they also all became murderers themselves. Elizabeth I was a colonizer. Mary murdered Protestants. I do feel horrible for Edward, but only because he died young. They all learned to play with the life and death of other people because their father normalized abuse and murder.

@@meaganbarnes3498so, yes Mary Queen of Scott's should have been queen and remained queen. First born daughter from the most legitimate marriage. But their grandfather Henry the 7th literally ended the war of the roses and you're not out here talking about the boys in the tower and their uncle offing two literal babies for the throne. In-fighting to that degree is normal over a throne 2) she literally tried to leave her cousin alive. She did let her cousin live. For a while. Then some idiots related to her cousin launched a second rebellion in her cousins' name and she had no choice but to put her cousin down or face further rebellion popping up every other year of her reign. Elizabeth didn't want to end her cousin and Gave her the chance to live. Some idiots who were her cousins family stole that by trying to use that girl to get the throne.

@meaganbarnes3498 she never killed Mary cause she was jealous. She tried so hard to not kill Mary but there was too much evidence proving Mary guilty of treason. Even while she was in prison, there were letters proving her plotting rebellions. Even then Elizabeth didn't want to kill her but Elizabeth's advisors and court put too much pressure on her. Elizabeth was forced to kill Mary to maintain her reign and stop the Catholics and other countries from attacking England through Mary

Henry desired a great ruler and Anne Boleyn delivered on that desire. Anne Boleyn will always be my favorite of Henry VIII's wives. There's just something about her that has drawn me to her from the very beginning. Her bravery in the face of death and denying the things she never did won me over. Her influence has continued to last hundreds of years after her death. I imagine that Henry is rolling around in his grave knowing that the descendants of Anne and Mary Boleyn are sitting on the throne of England today. So Anne and Mary blessed us with two legendary Queens of England. I have immense respect for these women. Anne's ability to face death with no fear is something to be respected. Most people fear death, but Anne did not.

What's worse is that it wasn't his first time betraying his family like that. Before Anne Boleyn, Catherine of Aragón had miscarriage after miscarriage trying to give him a son. The only child she could give him that made it to old age was Mary, so he stripped her of all her titles, divorced her against everyone's will but his own and sent her to die of cancer in a cold, lonely castle in the middle of nowhere. She couldn't receive any visitors, so she died alone. She was the daughter of kings, and yet he didn't care. He used women like toys and got rid of them when they no longer served him.

@@el8568 I didn't say she got cancer because of it, merely that those conditions made it much worse to live with it. As for Henry, he blamed her for miscarrying five times and for the death of their month old son, so I do blame him. He divorced Catherine so that he could be with Anne, just because he wanted to, and not even Anne had a choice. As for easily accepting it, she was a devout Catholic and daughter to the Catholic Queen and King, do you think that she was simply going to leave it all because of the whims of a narcissistic man like Henry?

@@rosegalaxy2587 I just hope they won’t do from Elizabeth saint, like….she’s just a good actress what can forgot everything she’s doing and lie, she never was honest, she never actually trusted people throw her reign, and what’s how she survived and was doing whatever she wanted too. And because she build what reputation and made from England her desk for political games, even if she would do something really cruel, people would forgive it to her in their mind automatically. But it of course wasn’t really good for her mental health, and plus all of what trauma…….conclusion: Elizabeth is fake as hell stop making out of her angel she probably was before she turned 2.

Not a male but the Elizabeth, the daughter he rejected and slandered her mothers name, she was annes revenge ❤❤

He wouldn't take the risk of killing them, because his first wife was Catherine of Aragon and daughter was Mary, whom the people of England adored and respected and was powerful within her own rights in England as well as outside the country... That would cause a political turmoil and he wouldn't risk that even in dreams...Also, there was a sort respect or concern towards Catherine and he knew the allegations he threw was untrue and a disrespect to a woman of her stature.. But, he was blind with the ambition of a male heir.... His craziness with a male heir turned things ugly for Mary and even her mental and physical health...

I hate that everyone is talking about Anne as some kind of hero because Elizabeth grew up to be one of the greatest monarchs england has ever known. Anne was a mistress and homewrecker. If she didn't exist at all then maybe just maybe Henry wouldn't be such a womanizer and maybe just have a perfectly normal life with Catherine. It was recorded in history that Anne ONLY married Henry because he was king and once she ruined his marriage with Catherine and married him she often made fun of his smaller than average 'manhood'😅. The only reason that Henry had an affair with Anne and married her was because she promised him a MALE heir (while this might seem misogynistic and all in those times only a male could succeed the king and the last time a woman tried to become the monarch she failed miserably). So slowly Henry fell out of love with Anne and turned to his next victim Jane.

Anne Boleyn never wanted to wed Henry. She was forced into it by her father and her uncle. Henry had his men drive away the suitors Anne was interested in until she had no choice except to marry him. He was never truly faithful to any of his wives. Queen Elizabeth was a great ruler, the perfect revenge against Henry, and possibly the best retribution for her mother.

Elizabeth father, Henry viii, actually had a very rare blood disease, I think from his father side(not 100% sure) which would end up causing pregnancies to miscarriage. So at the end of life, it was truly his bad blood that destroyed him. When you look back in time, his grandmother from his mom side had over 12 children and her mother before also had 12 children. His grandfather from his mom side was Edward iv and he was a very fertile man with many bastards with his 12 children. And we all know he stems with his cousins lannisters from king Edward iii. Realistically, Henry's blood disease could've been contracted from his mom or most likely his father side. But regardless, Henry was his own undoing.
