Annaram Barrage - Defying Gravity

Фильм және анимация

Afcons constructed and delivered the Annaram barrage, the most critical piece of the Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Scheme (KLIS), in a record time of 18 months. With a capacity of 10.37 TMC and standing over 1.2 km in length, it was the first barrage to be completed in entire project.
KLIS is one of the largest irrigation projects in the world. The project combines the use of three massive barrages to end water woes and spur agricultural development in Telangana.

Also, is this the reason why India was able to export a record amount of rice at such a low price that Pakistanis are crying about it on their Dawn news channel, that India exported basmati rice at $350 per tonne while making a profit as opposed to Pakistani rice being sold for $450 per tonne!

The reason is population density . Bengal and Bihar (1000+ ppl/sq.Km) are the most densely populated stated of India . Telangana has population density around 350ppl/sq. Km . So squiring land become much easier in Telangana than Bengal ,Bihar or even Kerala for that matter .

Anoop Dixit you are complete disaster, because here in North India Water is not a problem, eventually the usage of more water in crops is a major issue. Moreover, this project is Lift Irrigation by a small state like Telangana. Astonishing achievement. People of India are not able to use Tejas Express(it runs empty mostly) so we don't need to invest in Bullet train. We need to Build Roads, Hospitals, Best Schools, Better training and Helping of Farmers, safe States for better Security by incorporating Moral values in Young.

Greetings from Malaysia. So happy that India is getting good agricultural infrastructure. Our country depends on rice import and India is one of our main suppliers of rice and much needed onions. Hopefully someday you'll produce garlic too. Too much dependence on garlic from China. Our country is small. These days the agriculture focuses too much on latex and palm oil. Though we lack self sufficiency in grain production, we produces a lot of vegetables, fruits and cash crops like coffee, cocoa and vanilla. I'm a vegetable and fruit farmer myself. Small land area limits our farming potential no matter how much water we got all year round unlike India...unless we start sea farming like South Korea. Can't help to feel so glad that Indian farmers would be protected from drought with this new irrigation system. Only a farmer would understand the worry we got thinking about problems with the water supply.
