She didn't take a shot at black Americans. As black Americans we know what a back-handed compliment is. That's why she said "I can call YOU articulate", It would be derogatory to us because we would've known she was "sneak dissing" and called her out. That's why she said "Can't say that about them". His frown was because she let him know with that subtle slight that I can talk reckless around you but around "American Blacks" she would have to watch her mouth.

As someone who's experienced racism, I can say this pretty plainly: I'd much rather not deal with racists at all, but that's not the world we live in. That being stated, I'd much rather see someone play their racism card up-front (so I know where I stand with them and know not to go out of my way to deal with them) versus people who hide their racism (and you spend a lot of time trying to build a relationship, but you'll never be good enough for them in certain ways). I personally prefer to avoid both types of people, but the first kind are easier to filter out...

Ann Coulter dated Dinesh D'Souza. She is entitled to her belief that the President should be someone whose family has been in the US for generations as she believes that it shows loyalty. Many people hold this view. I know many Black people who would only vote for a White or Black person for President. As a minority myself, this does not trigger me. Vivek debated her and exposed the weakness in her argument which is the same one that the left makes when they hire people based on skin color as opposed to diversity of viewpoints. The left are getting triggered that Vivek debated her in good faith instead of playing the same games that they do by calling everyone racists just for having different viewpoints. Ann Coulter was specifically talking about the qualities she believes you need to have to be President and it comes from what she sees as a cultural challenge. She even said that if Vivek's children married the daughters of the American Revolution, she would have no problem voting for them. The self hate really is coming from the left who get triggered by everything under the sun. They are getting triggered on behalf of Vivek who himself is not triggered by this. Again, this is a lady who dated Dinesh D'Souza.

Her argument is that we should accept just anybody because it would be racist to turn someone away, even though the immigration standards have nothing to do with race and everything to do with that person's home country. @@user-pi8cl4fp9p Your broad generalization of how certain individuals perceive this country is simply inaccurate. As an African American, I possess the same rights as any other American to criticize the nation to which I contribute through my taxes. Many members of my family have served in the military and law enforcement, demonstrating their commitment to this country. The issue with this kind of rhetoric is that it promotes divisive stereotypes. Black individuals often face accusations of "hating America" simply for offering critiques. Why does this happen? Vivek has skillfully propagated the false idea that black Americans are opposed to American values. This notion couldn't be further from the truth. At the end of the day, we really want the same things you do. I urge you to actively seek out opportunities to engage with and learn about people from diverse cultures. If you exclusively rely on far-right or far-left media, your perception of fellow Americans may become dark and pessimistic. And your idea that we don’t support you is false.

That doesn't mean Afghans are naturally like that, but the culture they are raised in leads to those outcomes at a greater rate than the German culture. So, it is reasonable to expect a rise in SA if you welcome a lot of Afghans in your country. Sad, but it's a reality.

Even if you believe that to be true, Vivek as an individual is very closely aligned in ideology to Ann, so hy that logic he should be a viable candidate for her even if she believe Indian ancestry Americans in general are not viable candidates. Are you saying southern confederate loving culture is equal to liberal culture as far as accepting people goes, what about entire cultures that overtly and proudly oppress women and deprive them of the ability to get an education are equal to western culture that does promote these values. All cultures arent equal! Families have culture too, how ablut a family culture that practices abuse and alcoholism compared to one that promotes discipline, self control and kindness, are they equal. Behavior can be judged and should be.

I'll tell you why, it's because culture is being wrongly used as a placeholder for race.

vivek precisely did not monkey out as the others would want him to because he might be enlightened. Do not assume his philosophy, he may enjoy this cosmic dance with a humorous twinkle in his eye. Perhaps he is enlightened in the religious sense (alan watts type) or not, but I always find it amusing when people just put out generic comments like that guy hasan did where he commands vivek to have one hive mind with the brown people. This is precisely what vivek is against because he is wise, something hasan will never understand because he is not that smart. I would take coulter as an educated jester, someone with good points but also one that puts out funny ideas and statements that one should not get riled up over.

I would say he would make a great Libertarian candidate but the uni party has made it almost impossible to have any traction as a third party candidate. ( RFK Jr is an anomaly because of his family). So that leaves the Republicans but you have this internal struggle between the libertarians and the cultural conservatives ( and of course on the extreme of the cultural conservative and you have the racists and Ann coulters).... Vivek could be someone who could draw and in and consolidate the libertarian wing, in opposition to the cultural conservative and racist BS, and make the Republicans a sane party.
