ANKI FOR BEGINNERS 🤓☝️ How to learn faster and remember more!

Hiiiiiiiii friends, my deepest apologies for posting a whopping 2 weeks late but I am currently in the trenches of exam season and things are getting pretty hectic over here (╯•﹏•╰)
You guys probably know by now that I am an Anki girl. It's my main study method and has gotten me through my undergraduate Physiology and Pharmacology degree and through med school (so far). A bunch of you have asked for an Anki tutorial and since me and Anki are together 24/7 now for exams, I thought that it would be a good time to show y'all how Anki works and how I personally customize mine :)
**Remember that this is just how I use Anki. It works best when you customize the app to your specific learning habits and goals so be sure to tweak things around as needed. I am by no means an Anki expert, just an enthusiast who has been using it for years. I've linked the vids to the actual Anki experts below.
Love y'all, see you in the next video!! Filming my real time study with me vid in a few days ;)

Anki is such an absolute god-send. I've spent school and college slowly improving my study habits. Ended up being a mostly-B student in college (after being a C one in GCSE, and borderline "special" in primary). You know how hard science in general is? What about when you've completely screwed up your chance to learn the foundations properly so you have to learn them AND the higher-level stuff at the same time? So yeah, I'm proud of being a B student! Still use it in "studying" as a hobby. Better than spending all day on Netflix, and I really enjoy learning new things.

Hi! great video couple questions as an incoming med student. 1. when you make the filtered deck......why didn't you unselect "reschedule cards based on my answers in this deck".....asking because I thought if you didn't want your filtered deck answers to effect your Anki algorithm that you would have to unselect this? I thought the purpose was more so just to hammer in that specific info without scheduling the cards to the normal basic algorithm in the event of a test on the horizon ect. 2. Why would you set your max interval to 100 years (36500 days).....I thought for a class like physiology ect you would make the topics have an interval of maybe 21 days? so that you can study and see all the cards more than once in the sundeck prior to the test date 3. Do you use the FSRS new algorithm? if so what changes have you made to your settings P.S.....sorry if im ignorant in my understanding as I want to understand these concepts well before day 1 of lecture lol Thanks!
