for the price I just went with soundcore2 because the life of these is only about 3 years, then batteries go, if i had the money I choose Ultimate Megaboom for quality i think i will like soundcore2

We had a 1st gen Echo in our master bathroom for listening to music in the morning kzread.infoUgkxABghAEkaIDGZfHRBH3D3rBrlraNmnC71 and while in the shower. I didn't realize how tinny and awful the sound output on the original Echo was until we replaced it with the Studio. It was a sonic upgrade far beyond what I was expecting. Just wow. I love it because it's like having speakers IN the shower. My friend likes it because the music is so loud that she can no longer hear me singing. So that's a win-win.

@@kellenwestwalton5677 If you want the cheapest and more controlled one, soundcore boost seems to do it. The Jbl has more quality bass at much lower volume but gets harsher as you go so it might not be a good option for loud or outdoor listening, at least as far as I can tell. The soundcore 2 is good if you want to use multiple devices at once and switch to which ever one by pressing play. I’m going to go with the soundcore boost though, it’s very loud and works well with outdoor if you play sports at a park. It’s also almost 2 times cheaper now. I notice this was posted a year ago so you might want a job charge 4 or 5 if you want the best latest speaker.

No, he did not. Not one test is in here, not one bode diagram, not one note on any actual interesting points of these devices like manufacturing factory, parts used, distortion (THD), also thru interference, actual capacity and brand, type etc. of the accumulator, quality of pcb design etc. This is just long advertisement from someone who buys stuff and doesnt know s about anything. Sad.

Very informative review! Well structured and covered all bases. Ended up going for the Flip 4 though, the audio test did it for me.

I have a sound core 2. And it's heaven listening at 60-70% volume. No matter if you are in room or in woods. Though the bass drops beyond 80% volume but you never feel like raising to that much. Sound is natural and balanced and it never feel like the device artificially boosting the sound like jbls which has a bit higher treble. Earlier I had JBL but I am happy with sound core 2 now. Remember, always go with speakers with balanced sound to get great listening experience. Extended Bass boosters feels irritating after some time of continuous usage.

Just bought 2 X Soundcore 2. Pairing them produces a really nice room filling sound. Had a bit of discount too. £64 for the pair. Great for the garden too. Ipx7 proof. Great battery life. I've got some cases on order too to put them in. Overall, great little speakers.

I have been researching comparable bluetooth speakers under $100 for a bit now. We've had a Treblab for over a year, and have been happy with its capacity in volume, rich sound, base, durability and playtime. Nonetheless, I've sought something different for my daughter's use in college, who is looking for a bit more pitch. I've read so much and have seen so many rating videos my head spins. Many of the better known makes are repeatedly reviewed (e.g., Anker, UE Boom 3, JBL's), and there seem to be a great many, lesser-know makes that rate as well or better (e.g., Meridian, Tronsmart, Zamkol, Treblab). It seems that while some meet the quality / cost (under $100) / durability / features criteria better than others, there enough top choices out there that it take about a dozen review videos just to discover that some exist! Anyway, I complement you on a succinct, thoughtfully narrated video with no distractions. It was one of the better ones to watch.

Looks like at some point Anker quietly updated the boost, as the spec sheet now looks like it handles most of your concerns. IPX 7, BT 5.0, works with the Soundboost App for EQ shaping (maybe firmware too?), and the ability to sync with two devices at once. Mines on its way to replace my XL that is on its final charge as the micro USB socket finally bit the dust last night.

Nice details review from this speakers. both JBL flip4 and sound core boost is good but for clarity I'll go with flip 4 if your a bass head go for sound core boost. The sound core 2 sounds like flip 3. I personally listen to this 3 unit personaly and it's awesome

Anker never managed (to my knowledge) to top SoundCore Boost bass, even the Motion + have slightly weaker bass than the Boost. It is really an awesome bass performer. That's why I keep both, Motion + for the best overall crystal clear sound , and Boost for crazy bass.

Anker across the board all the way! UE are so WAY over priced and overated, I have no idea how they cost as much as they do. No bass, and thin. Clarity is great, but when you call a speaker a Megaboom and it doesn't have any bass, you lost me.

I have a DINDIN bluetooth speaker, I absolutely love the sound quality, the lighting, it's everywhere, it makes me happy every time I use it, I've been using it for almost a year, this product deserves more praise.

As a JBL fan, I gotta give them up for ANKER. Do your research and see why for yourself, Anker makes my JBL's sound like toys. Not naturally voiced at all. Anker is just better across all music genres now that my ears have matured past JBL's hype.

Yes, I would. I have both a Flare+ and a Soundcore Boost, the Boost sounds better. So the little Flare doesn't have a chance against it.

Preferred the sound quality of JBL, but the battery life, stylish design, bass and water resistant quality of Anker Soundcore 2 is very magnetic attractions

Very informative video for potential purchase decision, even for someone who is severely ill-informed when it comes to technology. My limitations will be blatantly noticeable in my basic questions. Can this speaker utilize an adapter for charging such as the AmazonBasics One-Port USB Wall Charger? If so, how will I know which is safe to utilize? Will this BT speaker be compatible with an Amazon Dot? I have only one outlet in my bathroom and want to use this speaker on a counter top solely there in conjunction with the Amazon Dot. After much hand wringing, nail biting, and review reading I decided to purchase an AUKEY Eclipse Wireless Speaker 20 W SK-M30 to replace a BlitzWolf 4,000mAh Bluetooth Speakers Max Bass 20W which I purchased in and used since June 2017 and which recently went silent. I LOVED that BT speaker, which was my first. The AUKEY Eclipse is very impressive and a great buy at the current Amazon discounted price. So far (only a few days) I am very happy with my decision. I would love to recommend the speaker, unfortunately, I don't have either the knowledge nor the vocabulary to tell you exactly why. I can say for my main usage, which is to pair thru BT with my Amazon Dot I find it more than adequate when it comes to sound quality and a very attractive unit for my Master Bed Room. So far, couldn't be happier. Thank you again for your responses, information, and respect to and for a neophyte such as myself. I am looking forward to using this speaker frequently and to continuing to read your reviews in this area as well since I have now subscribed to your reviews.

No problem! Does depend what you're watching but I'd probably pick the JBL out of these for the brighter sound.

I have two of these speakers and a number of others, along with full-size and headphone systems. The Soundcore 2 sounds like two little drivers in a small box. Not a favorite. The Boost has its own share of problems, but does offer a more inviting presentation. It sounds like an audio equivalent of a comfortable blanket. Doesn't offend, sounds very warm, the bass is a bit overblown, but it can be tuned.

Thank you 1sailfast! I try and choose a different track for every video - so maybe try and find another video where I use the have the Boost in the comparison. But music choice is never easy - I pay quite a lot to use royalty free music - but it's still hard to find decent tracks.

ive found the soundcore boost for $68 and the soundcore 2 for $52. Im planning to connect it to my laptop to watch videos. Which do you recommend? Thanks for the informative video!

Glad the video helped! The Soundcore 2 has slightly better clarity - so arguably better for videos with lots of talking. The Boost has a little more bass.

I personally prefer the Flip 4 for general listening, but if you prefer more bass at the expense of a small amount of clarity you might prefer the Boost - it's certainly a popular speaker!

That max volume beep is the biggest annoyance about Anker’s speakers. They’re great especially for the price but it’s just unnecessary and interrupts a song with a loud chime

There are two many factors to consider, and the prices vary so much so it's had to say one is the best. Out of these three speakers I'm testing here I tend to grab the Flip most often ...

Hopefully I cover this in the review? But if price and size not an issue the Boost is a better speaker - just has slightly less battery life.

I have a 1 or 2 (not sure). I prefer their design as mine has been dropped, fallen off of ladders, splattered with cement and paint, and nothing bothers it. I'm sure the new one sounds a bit better, but it looks more delicate.

Do you mean a Soundcore 2? Yes they're tough little speakers!

Question: on the SoundCore, the light is red while charging. Does it change to another color when charge is complete? How do I know when it is fully charged? Thanks.

IIRC it turns off when fully charged.

What do you think is the best budget speaker for gaming? I have a pc monitor connected to a ps4. If I buy this I will have to buy a charging cable and auxilary cable?

Maybe something like the Tronsmart Force - it's pretty loud and has line-in. They all come with a charging cable - but you'd need a 3.5mm audio cable.

Impressive clarity from the anker soundboost 2 but the overall sound quality from the jbl is better IMO

The JBL does sound good and is brighter sounding than the Anker. But if you like bass the Anker may be a better option.

Hello i own Soundcore 2 and looking to buy Soundcore Boost, can you tell me is is possible to pair the two? I managed to pair friends soundcore 2 and they work just fine in pair, is this the case with boost and soundcore 2??

No unfortunately you can't pair the Boost even with another Boost.

Soundcore 2 doesn't support stereo. You or your friend likely used a feature on a compatible phone to connect 2 speakers. Which means you can do the same with 2 boosts.

NIce work Is there a portable bluetooth speaker that connects easy and does not make a lot of noises when it disconnects connects or powers down ? Thanks

Thanks. The Bluetooth connection is pretty similar for most of the speakers I've tried. Some speakers do let you turn off audio prompts - if they do I try and mention that in the video.

I can't remember off hand all the speakers that let you turn off audio prompts - but know you can with the LG PL series if you take a look at my recent LG PL2 review. Although only with their Android app strangely!

I am travelling but idk if it’s allowed to take this in checked baggage or is it better in hand baggage ?

You'd have to check with your airline. Probably safest to put it in hold.

I've the Sound Like Mini S815 BOSE (Fake/ Rip off). To be honest, the quality is good enough for Bass and powerfull Volume! I like the TF slot in the Minibox. You can put easy about 400 MP3's on a TF card and play it automatically on the Minibox. Only the thing is you cant SELECT the song YOU want to hear on that moment. But thats not really a big deal actually. Like the part where you can switch to the next or former song(s)👍😎. It plays automatically songs from a USB- stick or a TF card. Advantage is you can use you phone without playing songs FROM your mobile which is good for the battery. The small audi Box directly play songs from the stick/ TF card.. Is that also possible to all REAL mini audi boxes? Playing tracks automatically from an USB stick of TF card??

@@TheTechnologyMan I bought that Mini Box in Spain at a small store. It's hard to get it from the Internet I think. The SD card slot is just awsome. I discovered lately that you can also put your USB- stick into the USB slot, which is actually ment for charging the mini audio box, and play your songs automatically through the USB stick. So the device can play songs automatically from a TF/SD card AND USB-stick👍😎 Hope you can make a review of it. Bass is pretty good and the volume you can turn loud, loud enough.

I feel JBL still better overall. Since the opening the sound struck to the heart. 😁 For feedback: Put the output comparisson as it the easiest way to see price worth to buy.. JBL flip output is about 20W if I not mistaken. Good job. I like your video

Thanks Welly Eka Charisma! A lot of people like the JBL sound. I do try and mention output - but it's unfortunately not a very precise way of comparing speakers - and some speakers don't even provide outputs - like Sonos speakers ...

For the price you pay for the JBL Flip 4 I purchased 2 Soundcore and it is awesome for what I needed !!!

I have this anker soundcore. I never had issues or complaint. It sounds good. 12hrs battery life? mine is 16 or more i guess. idk why

I am a bit late but JBL imo. Anker sounds like its blown speaker while JBL has crisp clean high and nice bass as well.
