I have an Anker small power unit and several cell phone chargers. Quality is in their name.

Anker is known for quality. I have two Anker power bricks for phone charging, but my brother, recently added an Anker F3800 with two BP3800 expansion batteries to his home setup, and is well pleased with them.

Nice review. I will be keeping my eye on Anker's products in this space. I have the smaller 300 watt Anker SOLIX as backup power for my work from home office (monitor, external speakers, Macbook Pro - gives me about 2-3 hours of power if I lose power. Reasonably quiet too.) The Oupes Mega 2 I am using is working out very well as backup power for my server rack. Now, I look at my circuit breaker box...limited whole house backup power is very tempting.

Excellent review. Thank you. The C1000 is a really nice form factor and weight for car/truck/van camping. The increased battery size is great for the form factor. That said, nobody needs 6 AC outlets for car/truck/van camping when a power strip is $15. The unit is too small to really do much for home backup where the extra AC outlets "might" be helpful. What a unit this size/weight and form factor needs is more 12v output options for car/van/truck camping like an XT60 or 5521 all at 10amps. Cig outlets are crap and, while the USB-A/C are nice, nobody buys something this size to solely charge phones and screens. So how about dropping the AC outlets to 3-4 and use that space for more 12v options. Also 80% capacity on the DC output is a bit weak. Since the AC output was so strong, Anker is clearly thinking that people will not be using this for 12v outputs very often.

If you stuck around a bit longer in the video, I reran that test to ensure the BMS was fully calibrated and got 88%out of the DC port that 2nd time. So usable capacity was well above average on both AC amd DC

Good review. Although the C1000 might be better for camping needs, I purchased mine, when it was first released, to support a freezer and fridge during power outages. Yes, I might have gotten a larger unit for a bit more cost, but Anker has a good reputation and I have experience with several of their product line. When the expansion battery for this unit was released, I acquired it, as well, to ensure I have 24 hour power backup and my food does not spoil. I use solar to support recharging. Win-win.

that is why I just purchased it during FL's tax free hurricane sales holiday. I figure that it can keep my fridge running for 12-14 hours and I can use my small 1000w gas generator to quick charge it. I was thinking that the fast charge up every 12 hours or so means I can save gas and also allow my modem, fridge to run for a long time especially at night.

As always very thorough review. If the EcoFlow Delta 2 and the Anker Solix c1000 would have launched on the same day I would have bought the Anker over the EcoFlow. I love that all the ports are in the front instead of on the sides. Also it is much more efficient. The price difference is negligible and furthermore this offers UPS vs EPS like Ecoflow products. Do you know if this unit will power a 12V diesel heater? I have had complaints from friends that their power stations will not power a diesel heater due to the out put of the 12V port even though it is regulated. Maybe this is another feature you could consider in your testing if you own a diesel heater.

The Anker app combined with overall quality has made this my favorite entry level camping / van life favorite. What about the Anker portable panels tho? Are there better / cheaper options that perform better?

In my opinion the biggest benefit of the 58-minute charge time is quick recharge from generator! It's more fuel efficient, and annoying for a shorter period of time. :)

You are doing the UPS test with nothing else connected to the power station. When doing these UPS tests with the laptop computer that has no battery backup it would be interesting to see if the UPS still performs as well if say another device or devices are plugged into other outlets on the device at the same time using will say 60 to 70 percent of the wattage rated inverter at the same time while the computer is connected. Will the computer stay on while the power switches over or will there be enough flicker to shut the computer down? Who knows. Still a great thorough review.

You raise a fair point. There's usually s limit on the load for the UPS function. And after reading your comment I did just retest this with a 1450W load and the UPS switch over still works as billed. No issue for the laptop...and it switches back to grid power seamlessly as well when restored. But in any case I'll try to add this method of UPS testing going forward since I agree that it would be a better test.

I have both the Anker C1000, and the Bluetti AC180. With the AC180 at 100% charge, the UPS function shows the same wattage on input and output, and the Bluetti remains at 100% charge. Using the Anker C1000 plugged into the wall with a load, once the battery reaches 100% charge, the input stops until the charge drops to 99%. How is that a UPS mode when it appears that the battery is constantly being charged and discharged between 99 and 100%? Has anyone else noticed this on the Anker CS1000? I have 2 units and they both work this way.
