Totally agree with you. Elo does not tell the whole story, you can catch a 2400 who is playing like a 2700, increasing rating daily, and a 2700 at the end of his career playing like a 2400.

Nodirbek is in his own tier among the prodigies, with only Alireza ahead of him. Pragg and Gukesh will soon join them to be the four super prodigies clearly above the rest.

What makes you believe it's Pragg and Gukesh, when statistically, Erigaisi (aside from Tatasteel) performed the best against 2700s? Edit: - even Anish himself said "honestly if Arjun was at his place, I think no one would've been suprised", shows you that Arjun is probably the most promising of all the youngsters (aside form Alireza)

Also Nihal Sarin probably performs better than ALL of the mentioned (aside from Alireza again) in Blitz and Rapid time control. Yes Nodirbek won the Rapid World Championship, but statistically, again, Nihal Sarin performs the best overall.

Yeah but Gukesh and Pragg are the youngest, almost by 3 years compared to Nodirbek and Arjun. The fact that they are even in the discussion makes them the most promising

Nihal is 18 and plays the least classical chess amongst all juniors. No one knows his true strength in classical rn

CONFIDENCE in Nodirbek and to an extent Pragg, sets them aside. Arjun and Gukesh are yet to counter their inner demons. Still susceptible to implosions.
