The part about trying to get an apprenticeship hit me hard. Spent plenty of time sitting in my car trying to talk myself into it, left my portfolio in the car plenty of times and just got a tattoo instead. I've spent over a decade trying to talk myself into taking the leap but my anxiety just keeps me down.

You don't want it enough then, in which case you definitely shouldn't "take the leap". If you're trying to get into becoming a tattoo artist, and it isn't your everything, you shouldn't do it. The industry doesn't need a bunch more lame ass "phoning it in" tattooers. Be all in or all out, not some anxious wreck that struggles to deal with regular life and just talks about it online.

Hey dude, I totally get it. It took me a while to muster up that courage but I’m glad I took the leap man. Each time you take the leap it gets easier. draw, build that portfolio, and go into a studio dude. You’ll get told “no” and thats ok, I got told “no” a lot but I never gave up.

Bro ! Cam & I are the SAME MF AGE and this guy says his first ever video game console was ps2. I had one too when I was like 7, thanks to older siblings. But none the less I'd have to say my first time ever "gaming" I would play Sonic on SEGA 1st Gen. Otherwise it was James Bond 007 on N64. If I wanted to really game all I had to do was go to the next door older neighbor kids house and we'd be tearing $hit up on Game cube. I also sent a whole Wii Remote into bros TV 📺 😂
