The song was perfomed by South Africa-born British singer Arianne Cleopatra Schreiber and musical arrangement orchestrated by Shiro Sagisu who composed soundtrack for whole series.

@@RobertoMaybe1 I tottaly agree with everyone.If you havent realised already EVANGELION itself is a masterpiece.Every part of the series, from songs to characters and doublemeanings about life is really well made.The only ones who really can uderstand why things turned like that in the end,are the ones who have depression ,stress,mental scars and other things just like the series' main character (Shinji).This is why just a very few people can really understand the REAL meaning of this series.

I'm japanese so I can't speak English properly, but please let me say that "I love this movie so much!" as a big Japanese fan of Evangelion.

@@SV_Smog "dwarfs what we see". all we see of the snap are (granted beloved characters) a few dozen people geting dusted and some empty streets / memorials, in an event that is supposed to affect the entire universe. Third impact shows you a complete apocalypse. We see almost every character in the show essentially die in much more personal and effective ways. I love Infinity war and Endgame, but the snap doesn't give off anywhere near the palpable horror and despair of the Third Impact. (This comes from someone who views EoE as a happy ending).

@@Szt1998 Yeah. The snap was more about the heroes losing than the death of billions. Meanwhile in EoE you have the slaughtering of Nerve leading into Instrumentality, its a lot more visceral and impact. I do love Infinity War, but EoE (and Eva) is a goddamn masterpiece.

I just broke with my girlfriend. We lived together for more than a year... So many good memories I can't let go of. She always cooked me a delicious meal after I came from work. Sometimes I feel she's still waiting for me at home. I always thought I did understand the meaning of meaning behind "what once was happy now is sad". I did not. Now, I truly do.

I'm sorry bro My girlfriend has a cancer and soon I will be deported back to my home country where the pandemic is severe, because I was laid off my work and can't get a visa extension no matter how hard I try. As long as the pandemic lasts, I doubt I will be able to return here. She is terminally ill so by the time I return I doubt she will still be around for us to return back to these happy days. We lost our pet who was like our child on November. We are still devastated today. His passing reminded me that my happiness was never meant to be and had a very clear expiry date. Just thought of leaving this here, but stay strong. Do it for me and for more people out there who are living a very tough life. As for me, I'm a very weak person. I'm considering killing myself once I get back home. I'd rather do it now that I'm happy. This world is never worth it.

I know everything will end soon or one day, but that's how things are. At least I still have my love right now. We will try to live every passing second with a smile and as grateful as we can. Seeing Shinji suffering is like seeing myself suffer, because at one point in time I was almost exactly like him, especially back in 10th grade when I was bullied to the brink of suicide. I simply cannot tolerate watching Eva. I felt forced to relive my trauma upon viewing it. I’m deathly afraid of it. Twice I had a nightmare where I saw myself as Shinji choking Asuka and starting the Third Impact. I’ve been struggling with this newfound depression ever since. Evangelion is nothing but a bright shining lie. There is no instant cure for depression as so many on KZread and Reddit claimed and praised this series to be. I was obsessed with the series for over a year to try and outwit the Coronavirus pandemic. It only increased the burden, and kept the memory of my friend’s recent suicide alive. Sometimes I hate myself because I fail to appreciate this series which people treat larger than life, because of how much pain it resurfaces. Watching the End of Evangelion was like peering into a broken mirror, and I was viewing the hell I would’ve put myself through had things turned out differently, had I decided to give up living. It still haunts me to this day. I hated myself because I fail to appreciate what so many have claimed to idolize, and I beat myself further for failing to worship what they call praiseworthy, I forced myself to watch a show that reminded me of nothing but pain just so I wouldn’t be alone anymore, I was willing to sacrifice my individuality for some company amidst the isolation of the pandemic. But it only spiraled me deeper into depression, which I’ve been struggling with for over a year now. I just wanted Shinji to be happy, so this past self of mine can be laid to rest once more. I’m afraid to decouple myself from him after losing my friend to suicide, which Eva made me feel responsible for, especially when I saw Shinji kill Kaworu, of which I fail to understand how anyone can call it praiseworthy. Until then, I felt nothing else mattered. But finally, with 3.0+1.0 released, I can rest easy knowing that Shinji has finally reached the light at the end of the tunnel. Evangelion is finished, and I want it to remain that way. But in all honesty, if things didn’t end well for Shinji, I wouldn’t be here today. I just want to feel I’m not crazy for feeling this way; that my depression is not a figment of my imagination.

While I doubt you meet the criteria for insanity and so cannot be categorized as crazy. I do hope you seek and get the help you need. and yes, being clinically depressed is not normal, that is why it is a medical condition, and not considered healthy.

Hey, appreciate your vulnerability and honesty. Depression is hard, there is no easy way, spend over 15 years in it one way or another, finally overcome it in the past few years. I took the long way cause I didn't know any better. Consistent daily action over time, positive goals and intents. I know it's hard and I know you're trying your best every minute of every day to survive. Keep going, you'll get there ❤

He is our sad, fragil, and distorted morro. Just get over, friend. Shinji can not be happy because he is imprisioned un his oun mourning and depresión, looping and looping the same ideas. @@ShadeHaxor I've never watched Evangelion nor do I have any interest in watching it, I discovered this song after hearing it in a KZread video completely unrelated to Evangelion and I found it to be catchy, so I came here. I'm not much of an Anime guy, so when I listen to Anime songs it's usually after I've discovered them via other outside sources from across the internet.
