Ok. Here's my understanding of the How to Eat Life and Fight song videos (I've read summaries and lore regarding the manga but I could be wrong). We have our main character for the videos, Tobi. He has that bag with the mouth which is essentially and literally (apparently) his heart which seeks out and kills demons. He ends up killing a dragon that is wreaking havoc on the city. (How to eat life) The dragon either was pregnant and her daughter comes out and imprints on Tobi (thinking Tobi is her parent) or the dragon human hybrid reincarnates as a little girl. The end result is the same. They view Tobi as a parental sort of figure. Tobi then protects this dragon girl which in the past was forced into fighting by the red cult master guy with many arms. This constant fighting is what drove the previous incarnation of the dragon girl mad and led her to attack the city. We see flashes of either the dragon girl living through the same things her mother did, or her previous incarnation did when we see the flashes to the more adult looking dragon woman. The cult master wants another dragon woman to either rule them or more likely to rule and possibly participate in their fighting tournaments. This leads to him abducting the new dragon girl. Tobi doesn't accept this and goes to the arena to fight for her freedom. He begins struggling against the Minotaur guy and then the dragon girl steps in, saving him. Tobi then defeats the red, many-armed cult leader and he and the dragon girl walk away. There's also a bit of confusing stuff from how to eat life, like how either his trauma or something makes his heart view himself as evil, hence why we see the scene of him eating himself. I'm not too familiar with all the lore as I haven't read the manga but I think that's the basic gist. Feel free to correct me in the replies. Edit: You also may be confused based on your watch order. How to Eat Life comes first, and Fight Song comes second narratively.

Eve doesn't animate, he make music, but pay animators to make it, also, one of his friends is Mah, a japanese artist that made the animations of videos like Dramaturgy, Outsider or Last Dance

The bag is Tobi kinda it’s hard to explain but assuming by the manga eve has that has him In it while unsure about all context it’s assumed Tobis spirit is the bag but also known it’s different from basically every other spirit it’s also kinda funny cause the way the bag bites him strongly represents the line before I eat myself

i mean if i had to guess based on the on the videos solely. Ryouko(or however her name is spelt) is a reincarnation of sorts. we literally see visions of her as an adult and of her being executed, both as a person and as the dragon. we also see them cleaning up her dragon corpse at the start of eat a life. The guy with the eyes on his hands is probably a mentor figure to toby, who, is part of some kind of crime family that fell apart at some point. he got sacrificed and turned into the body bag with a mouth. (im basing this off the fact they never share the same frame) as for toby, he either has a special power or was taught a forbiden technique and was chasing after the dragon for personal gain before it backfired. now that the dragon reincarnated as a girl, we get the usual plot of mercenary type guy learning to care for a kid. maybe have some extra drama that it was originally for selfish reasons before becoming more genuine as time goes on.

Basically in other video the dude fought a dragon the (girl in her adult form) and then after cutting the dragon head it reincarnated into the little girl and he took upon himself to raise and protect, that why that badguy wants her bad! and at the end she recover her powers and transform into a dragon to save him.

What Sean said is pretty much correct, but there's two really good videos... either by a channel named Eve Explained or in a series named Eve Explained, I don't really remember, but they take apart Eve's songs. I highly recommend watching the explained on How to Eat Life and Fight Song. On another note I also recommend watching the covers a guy named Trickle made of them just because they're really good.

I would recommend "Anoko secret" it is a simple song by eve but it is my personal favorite

I still wanted them to put "How to Eat Life" before "Fight Song". But it turn out better then O thought 🎉

Okey! I like EVE but I watched hhust a few so I didn't know half of all this collection very nice.

the only thing im sad about here is that you didn't listen to how to eat life before fight song as fight song is the sequel and technical B-side to How to Eat Life

I don't know if it's just me but, I feel like I'm really picky when it comes to music. Like, I do like Eve, but of these songs, all are good, but, the only ones here that gives that feeling of "fulfillment" for me (or what I should call it) are Fight Song, How to Eat Life and Raison d'etre

Adam by Eve - Alive in animation. You should watch it just for animation purposes, and just ignore the story that is non existent. Just skip the live action parts and focus on the animated ones and you should be good to go!
