i enjoyed this video sooo much!!✨ it was really interested seeing the full process including learning things in the program as you go, and honestly i feel like all those times where you thought you may have been "taking the easy way out" were actually just clever ways to simplify and expedite the process! as an artist i can totally understand wanting to make something 110% perfect and mindblowing right off the bat but while i think that ambition is good, i think it's also smart and humble to recognize that sometimes simpler is better bc it results in actual work rather than a project prolonged for too long or something just too over our head to accomplish (speaking from my own experience lol..). that said i think researching and overcoming problems that come up along the way is also really smart and a huge sign of discipline that you're not gonna let little setbacks hold you back! overall loved this video and like i said before these animations look PROFESSIONAL anime industry quality and it was a great pleasure to watch the entire process behind both :D ^^💖💖

I'm so happy to hear the video was enjoyable to watch! Part of me was worried I explained things poorly or not enough ^^' I'm definitely the kind of person who wants to get into a niche after being inspired by people who have been doing it for like decades but I'm too much of a perfectionist and want to be at their level right from where I'm beginning lol...;; it's a really bad habit although now I'm trying to find ways to create stepping stones towards the things I was first inspired to make so I don't get too frustrated or end up ruining my project. Once I have more free time I definitely want to add practicing animation + learning the ropes of CACANi to my schedule because making the tests for this video has kind of put my in an animation dopamine loop and I have so many ideas for future videos~ Thank you again for your kind words and for taking time to write such a long and thoughtful comment, I always appreciate it so much!! \(^0^)/

Hello! I have been keeping up with your TCU videos and they have been fun to watch!! ^o^ I have heard of CACANi Months back but this video has got me wanting to give the software a try. (I'll stick with the Free Trial for the testing period, lol) I would like to answer the question at 13:58: No, I'm not even mad at all. x);;; And that is mainly due to the fact that I use multiple animation+art softwares alone to get the results I'd like sometimes (Example being sketching in RoughAnimator and doing the linework+coloring in Clip Studio Paint for clean linearted animation.). Sometimes, there's an advantage that one software has over the other. 0u0 But that is how I personally feel. ^^

Hey, thank you so much for keeping up with all of the content! I'm happy I inspired you to try a new software, definitely take advantage of the free trial to see how you feel about it! And I'm glad you didn't think my switch to CSP was clickbait-y ahaha 。゚( ゚^∀^゚)゚。

Another great video Elle!💖 I enjoy watching others experiment with things like this(because I know I will never have the patience and intestinal fortitude for it) also I was honestly shocked when I saw that makoto’s hair was white in his human form, I honest to god that he would be a brunette or have raven hair 😂

Thank you so much! It's so fun to vicariously watch you might never attempt yourself ^w^ and omg that's so funny, in my script I actually had a big rant that I had to cut out due to time about how jarring Makoto's hair color is in his human form compared to his ghost form... I don’t get that same kind of whiplash when I compare Akifumi and Weltraum’s color schemes, half because Weltraum’s color scheme is already so monochromatic that it fits really well with his natural brown hair and eyes, and half because the colors for both his human and ghost form are very similar in value, but in Makoto and Kleinod’s case the value shift for his hair completely goes from one extreme to the other and it just feels so off, like these two designs aren’t for the same character, if that makes sense 😂 but at one point in the MTAGT drafts his human form did have naturally brown hair, darker than Akifumi's 💇
