The 10 of cups couple is the same couple from the 2 of cups, their progression makes me happy ❤️

This is such a cool effect! Being a kid of the 80s, I definitely remember when this was a big deal, but it was waaaay less impressive then. These cards are so smooth in their animation. And actually the ones without a lot of movement really make sense to me with the meaning of the cards, like 10 of swords, king of swords, or 4 of cups. It makes sense to me that those would be more still cards.

I love the art on these. I kind of wish they had a non-animated version, honestly.

I found this deck online, and really adore the card art. I wish there was a non-animated, paper card version for purchase, so you wouldn't have to worry about scratching. The animations are wonderful, but a cheaper alternative would be great, the card art in itself is outstanding on its own. Thanks for showing us the whole package!

Sleeving them makes side-shuffling the whole deck possible but still super thicc. Also try an alternate deck for shuffling & dealing then substitute the animated cards :D

Thank you very much for this walkthrough. I had originally backed it but then cancelled my pledge after the long delay. It's a very chunky deck but as a DnD player and tarot reader, I plan to just buy the deluxe book and use the book to do tarot pulls using bibliomancy. The DnD aspect looks fun!

Thanks for the great walkthrough Lisa! I also backed this deck with the big book, and I love it, the book is really great, really worth the wait. I read that they animated what they thought was important in each card, and I think they did a great job. We also got some of the animated DnD Spell cards for my teenage son, those are great too. Using it for monthly spreads is a great idea, but I also find myself playing and getting sucked into the animation, great for Pathworking, so fun!

Wow, what a cool deck! The movement in some of the cards are so cool. I don’t think I’ll be buying this one though. I think I’d have a hard time handling a deck that big. Thank you for sharing this with us. 💜💜💜

I feel like I had a lunch box or two that did this when I was a kid. Why does it seem so much cooler now 😂. That 2 of swords gave me life. Sitting here trying to decide if I need another RWS. It’s really cool. Can you see the movement when ur reading? Like as your are leaning back and forth over them?

When I got my copy they came with a plastic film on the cards. I guess you took it off? I was wondering if it would last and keep the card fronts from being scratched. I have not had any luck in riffle shuffling so with hand over hand I will try and keep it on for the added protection. It is a fun deck but not quite sure I will use it often but a novel addition to my collection.

I definitely took the protective film off! :) The creators suggested removing the film and sleeving your cards in card sleeves to keep them protected - I found that the animations are so much smoother and the cards brighter without the film. Plastic cardstock will scratch up I think, but apparently I like to live dangerously ;)

I really love the fun info in the guidebook and all of the art. However, if I stare at the cards for too long, I get a lil nauseous. 😭 Also, I'm super afraid to peel the protective film off. 😨😅

Oh no!! Yes I can totally see how these could create some motion sickness for sure! Sorry to hear you have that issue :( I couldn't WAIT to get that protective film off - yes the cards will scratch with use but like.... I wanna enjoy them if/whenI do use them!

You can use it when you teach about the tarot

oh dear. yes.. yes I meant lenticular. ;) oh boy.

Seems like a missed opportunity, how in most cases only some details are animated. Sad that the 5 of wands people and their wands don't move at all. And the 8 of wands that is ABOUT movement, the wands don't advance at all.

Yeah there are some cards where I feel like there's not enough animation.

Wow these are like SUPER lenticular! When I saw this on Kickstarter I thought they would be more…”basic” like the ones i grew up with. Such a fun looking deck though not for me as I despise the texture of lenticular cards 😅

OMG me too!! I thought they would flip between a couple distinct scenes - I had no idea they'd really 'animate' in thi sway - they're so awesome!
