Made my day, I watch your videos everyday and it’s helped me a lot I’m glad you make this type of videos. Much love and support 🙏🏼
This is EXACTLY the effect that I've been looking for for about the last week. I've been working with some cool swirly oil spill-like textures and couldn't seem to get the flow just right, but adding a displacement map did the trick. Thank you so much!
ohh my this is so sick thank you for showing me this !!!!! hope your new years resolution is to create more tutorials for us

Really you are awesom bro
hi great video! the fractals worked well. But i cannot get a video to apply to a image as a displacment map. If you have a green screen object that moves about and you have to rescale and shift it to a position in you composition, how do you keep it there when the displacemt map is applied? (it moves it to the centre, even if you select apply with effects and mask). Also is this the best way to animate a wall say? or would you recommend another way? thanks
Hi There, do you know if it's possible to use the fractal noise with transparency? Im trying to create an overlay with an alpha channel and I'd like to somehow utilize the fractal noise effect to generate fog/smoke, but obv it needs to be transparent.
in my after effects i don't have that plugin and i can't fin it anywhere, do i have to download another version of after effects ?
awesome explained, wonderfully done!! But I have a problem, mine just runs 2 second and loops, how can I make the loop longer? New to this. And I need to know how to render and save it as a gif, any links available?
Спасибо! Очень ценный урок.
Hey, I dont have buttons for the source in the settings of the displacement map layer. Its shoud me under the text "About". What to do? Perhaps because of this, my image does not move.
@JustinOdisho

maybe it is your layer organization
Can I somehow link displacement map effect with my current position of puppet pin?
Thx
I am animating a flat image using this technique but its not working. Its a illustrators flat image, could it still work on this though? I cant currently get it to work
This is such an awesome tutorial! Is there any way to control the displacement so the effect can loop seamlessly?

I just keyframe the evolution, then put a keyframe at the in/out point of the comp, plus another one right in the middle. I then set the evolution rate that I want onto to the middle keyframe, and make sure the in/out keyframes have the same 'zero' evolution value. You may need to ease the keyframes to get this smooth, but that brings the end state of the fractal noise to be back as it was at the beginning. I'd love someone to post out a nice way to do this with an expression though!

@@solutionboytv I think that makes sense, I'll try that, thanks!

How to apply this only in a certain area of the footage ?
Merci
Hi. Thanks a lot for your clear explanation of displacement maps. Allow me to ask one question: If i only want the displacement map to effect on a part of the image: e.g. the lower half part. How can this be done? Thanks for your answer. kind regards. Herman from Belgium

@@JustinOdisho hi! & how about other texs? Normals, specular, occlusion? I want to change face for deepfake, cinematic quality. How it is possible in AE?
Is there a way or any alternative we can do on android?
where can you get the effect?
Justin - thanks for your great videos. I don't have AE and was wondering if there is a Premiere Pro plug-in that does this effect? Thanks, David

How do I export it?
What laptop would you suggest using because I have a Mac and when I put in video clips I use to edit the quality of my finalized video looks great on adobe but once I export it and put it on KZread the quality goes down and it looks sort of like pixels
@MrAlwaysOnTen

you need to raise your target bitrate to 20 when you export
@MrAlwaysOnTen
5 жыл бұрын
anywhere from 15-40 mbps for bitrate during export should have you good to go
