Imagine some science fiction dungeon crawling game with various djent artists for the soundtrack. This is like the normal moving around one. If combat hits then it switches to something like Periphery. In a cutscene, invoking feelings of wonder would be easy with a band like ERRA. Feelings of intensity? Architects, Thornhill, Northlane. Want some horror? Loathe or Polaris would do the trick. So many possibilities...

The Greatest Multicultural Djent Band ever. I think Tosin means as much to this generation as Yngwie meant to the 80s generation or Petrucci to the 90s generation or Jimmy Hendrix in the 60s. .

+Filip Pandrc It's just that djent is generally so unoriginal that most prog fans dislike bands that barely fit into the definition to be asociated with "djent". Yeah, it has polyrythms and polywhatever shit, but it doesn't have any of the unoriginal, and frankly, annoying discrepancies of the clean, screamed, and auto-tune vocals, along with those boring-ass riffs. Tesserac and Periphery are a-ok, seeing how they invented the sound, but all the low-quality copy-cats really dominate the "genere". For my part, I'd like to pretend that those bands don't exist, so Tesseract and Periphery are some Meshuggah-influenced mathcore bands. It's not the djent community rejecting AAL, it's the prog comunity rejecting the djent label.

I love the way Matt is like playfully hitting the cymbal it really fits the theme

Anyone else notice that during a lot of the aerial shots of the band, Matt isn't playing the same cymbal in the video as during the song? 1:35 and 3:35 for example I hear the stack but he's whaling on a crash.

Daniel Calderon yes but in the end it doesn't really matter, that's the same for all the video in history which aren't made by a drummer.

Daniel Calderon well, he plays some pretty complex patterns.. hence giving the editor some hard time editing it and in the end the editor didnt give a damn.

Tosin is the principal cause he is the leader, Javier is the teacher cause he can teach us a thing or two, and Matt is the janitor cause he cleans it up !

Love it , such musicianship, melodic and in your face ,drumming on another level !!

Saw them live once. When this song came on the whole venue erupted into chaos! Wild times!

When Javier kicks the bully kid out of his class, you can see that bully kid has Javier's ESP JR-608 Signature guitar. I noticed that because I WANT THAT GUITAR! =)

+Lincoln Torrey The funny thing is,Javier is actually playing a Kiesel/Carvin DC800 during the performance in this video,instead of his ESP sig. model.

The average person doesn't know the amount of musicianship that goes into this type of music. I've been a drummer for almost 40 years now and I really dig guitarists that let the drummer lose and let the drummer's individualism come out. Kudos to this band!!

I can't stop listening to AAL. I just found them 3 days ago and I'm completely hooked

This is one of those videos that I want to see a behind the scenes for. I bet they had fun making this and had a lot of laughs during certain parts.
