You can skip the first few rooms by using the flute to teleport to the animal shortcuts room, then taking the Dog shortcut (the exit is visible at 1:00). Shortcuts are opened by playing any note on the flute next to the pipe organ / throne visible in the same room. The flute is unlocked by having enough eggs in the Peacock egg room.

this game has a lot of sections that last too long without saving progress. i agree it's tedious rather than a rewarding type of challenge

I used to try this way but once you get the egg room heads you can fast travel closer and put some distance between you and the dog.

Quick question, after the room with the three dogs, the small door is open for you, but for me it’s closed. For the life of me I can’t figure out how to get to the yellow button on the fast left of the room behind the glass wall. Any hints?

Yeah, this took me quite a few attempts and it didn't feel challenging in a fun way. Very frustrating. I have a feeling that this'll be many players' least favorite segment of the game.

easily the worst part of the game, a real shame this didn't receive (or respond to) enough player feedback

Disappointing that the developer half assed balancing this boss when compared to the other ones, its definitely going to tank the steam reviews to some degree. Considering how tedious and unreasonable the difficulty spike is, i'd imagine its going to kill a lot of casual playthroughs/ softlock people with disabilities 😮‍💨
