Animal House Tour! -Tyler Rugge and Maddie Smith!
Thanks to Tyler and Maddie picking up our new Caiman lizard, we had the opportunity to meet all of their wonderful animals! We even meet some geckos that haven't been shown yet on their channels, AND some super interesting info about crested gecko morphs! From birds to reptiles to even a toad, they definitely have a wonderful animal family :) Thanks for the hospitality, Tyler and Maddie!

You have a lovely family of critters! When you were talking about the Lily Whites, it reminded me of Manx cats. You shouldn't breed 2 manx to each other because it can result in such a shortened tail that it can result in paralysis and incontinence. I just love the on fleek lashes and derpy eyeballs of Cresties so it was exciting to see them!

I love the fact Emily is all impressed by three reptile rooms when they own a Zoo and used to have like five rooms in their house with reptiles, including one that was anAlligator's bedroom.
Emily asking to see and hold an animal is like watching a little kid who is about to explode with excitement but straining to remain calm and polite. It is the best!!!

While they were talking I was just looking at them and waiting for them to be introduced.
I really like when Tyler and Maddie handle the animals, Emily subtly shows her knowledge without showing off and overshadowing them, that's really charismatic and sympathetic. Also, Tyler and Maddie themselves seem really knowledgeable and humble.
Tyler: he’s got big eyes you can’t really tell. Sprinkles: 👁 👅 👁
Tyler: “Sometimes 2 ugly geckos make really nice geckos.” My brain: “Same for humans.” Sometimes 2 conventionally gorgeous people make conventionally not so gorgeous kids and vice versa.
As a European, Tyler finding centimetres and our NORMAL metric system confusing is hilarious to me, feet and Inches are so much more confusing haha Also those geckos are so cooool

@@KaitlynBurtonISaGOD I can acknowledge that metric is very logical, but because in school everything was in imperial measurements, it is easier to imagine the size of something in inches/feet/etc. For the most part I like metric, but I still translate them to what I am more familiar. There are different techniques for bonding rabbits but it's best to have a brief first meeting to make sure they don't immediately hate each other and start fighting.
@ettinakitten5047

We did that with our dog and kittens at the SPCA. Wanted to find a cat who'd adjust well to a dog. We actually picked the one who hissed, though, because the others just shut down in terror and hissing is a better sign than shutting down. It worked, she took some adjusting but she likes the dog now.
I have a crested gecko named Geku he had been in the pet store for a long time because he is plain brown and no one wanted him. I have had him for four years now and he is a amazing companion. We watch your videos together he always gets excited when you show other geckos!😂
I love seeing Emily and Ed ask questions and learn. That just shows that you will always learn more about reptiles even if you own a ton or have owned for a long time! Never stop researching and learning yall!

Yeah, my aunt's parents had one that was quite the character.
I have a budgie and he talks up a storm! my favourite thing he says is when he mixes up “I’m a pretty bird” with “I’m a good boy” and says “I’m a pretty good boy”. he is absolutely adorable. around 3 now, I’ve had him since he was a couple months. turns out he is still learning words, too! yesterday I caught him saying “Akoni (his name), go away!” he’s the best bird ever :)

That's neat that he's working with the pseudogekkos, they're such a bright yellow in pictures. The strophurus and uroplatus are awesome too.
Reminder that bunnies are very high maintenance pets and you should always get two because they are very social and need a partner for comfort. DO NOT buy one just because you feel like it, unless you can provide everything they need.

Yeah, always research the social needs of your pets. I've known people who have only one rat (when single-housed rats in labs are used as an animal model of depression because they're so unhappy) and people who group house hamsters (which hate each other and sometimes kill each other).

While I completely agree with the fact that they are high maintenance, I do not agree that you should ALWAYS get 2. I currently own 2 rabbits, both adopted, but i have tried and tried and bonding just causes more stress to them. Some rabbits just prefer to be one their own.
The dwarf retic looked so friendly and wanted a hug.
While palmetto used to be considered a basic recessive, it has since been labeled as a incomplete dominant gene! The visual heterozygous form looks almost like a hypo - it’s very interesting! Only half way through the video, but figured I’d chime in before I forget to lol
That's a beautiful dwarf retic! Amazing pattern.
I love how the bird was dancing/walking in the background. It was sooo cute. It was also very funny 🤣🤣🤣
I love videos like this. I have only one complaint...I really get a kick out of the captions, but I really would love to see you guys increase the text size a bit and keep the captions on-screen a little longer, so I can actually read them. I NEED to hear what the animals are "saying" lol or at least what you think they'd be saying of they could actually talk.
I love how gizmo is just dancing in the back round😂😂and the other animals are just so cute☺️
“This is sprinkles, he’s a fan favorite cause he’s very silly looking, big eyes…very stupid” 🤣🤣🤣 why did that crack me the hell up?!?
I love how he lives describing all of his pets and the macaw was just showing off hard-core in the background like “I’m the main character no one else matters!” So macaw like 😂

Love this video! This is not a critic of either Maddie or Tyler, but "g*psy" is a very offensive slur for Romani people. I completely understand if changing her name isn't possible, or if she was rescued with the name, but acknowledgement of that or a warning somewhere would be really kind. Thank you for actually 'typing' the name. A few others mentioned that a name was derogatory but didn't indicate which bird it was, and I didn't catch the African Grey's name the first time. So I was very confused on how the Macaw's name was considered negative.
I was at this past cin city rep show and had a crestie absolutely launch itself onto my glasses so watching one leap at ed brought some memories and hilarity

this was a fun one!
Having a rabbit and having tried to bond him with friends' and family members' rabbits for play dates, I'd heard of rabbit speed dating, but I didn't know it was a thing many shelters actually did! That's super cool that Otis got along with Olive so well. Things can be... very intense when bonding if they don't bond 😬Bonding is wacky and fun and you get to learn a lot about natural rabbit behavior and their social hierarchies, but I would MUCH prefer a pair that didn't try to actually murder one another. It IS funny to watch them try to shove their heads underneath each other's chins over and over in a shoving match to try to get the other to groom them to assert dominance though, LOL

Love how the geckos are just chillin' on the wall. Like for us, hanging on to a wall would be a strenuous activity, but that's just a relaxed position for them.
I really enjoyed this- and especially loved seeing those adorable parrots at the beginning, they have such amazing personalities ❤️ wow, those geckos were gorgeous too!!
Sprinkles' eyes made me laugh out loud, so hard. I'm glad he has such a good home!
Some macaws are def more talkative my green wing talks and sings very clearly and ....constantly lol the grey i fostered is now 34 and i got him at 26 and he never said anything but "hello" 😂
The Gigantia reminds me of Gollum! What a fabulous collection of creatures!
The rabbits look like they are both lops. Holland lops are closer to 3 lbs while mini lops are closer to 5lbs. Super cute 🥰
In horses we get lethal white foal syndrome where 2 overo breed. (They are coloured horses where the white is completely over the horses back, so no colour crosses). The problem is some normal coat colours like bay (brown with black mane and tail) or chestnut (gingery colour) can carry and pass on the overo gene. This is why if you breed to a coloured overo horse then you should gene test yours.
"They have 3 reptile rooms, its so crazy"... When they had a room dedicated to an alligator lol
