@@_e1i it's dependent on their personality types I think? Raddle didn't care about the roaches, but Lopez ran out as soon as I entered.

I have recently discovered this, when you go to isabell and tell her you have a problem with a certain villager you can actually mention you don't like there home and it will reset there place to its original look so you dont have to worry about them having awkward or out of place items in there homes which I love so much.

thats awesome! the 2 things i was wanting from nintendo- individual personality types (not gonna happen but i was hopeful) & resetting villager homes. i ruined audie & raymonds home by giving them stupid gifts not realizing it'd replace their own home furniture. legit was gonna kick them off my island over it & probably more villagers since they don't fit my japanese island theme. but man i got even more than what i asked for! customizing villager homes too? hell yeah! im very happy i don't have to kick out my villagers now lol

Thanks so much for this info! Back in our early days, all my siblings kept giving them fish and bugs 🤦‍♂ Do you know if this works for the starting villagers as well?

I’ve noticed my villagers doing things a lot more often. For example, SLEEPING! Just napping everywhere! They all seem to carry items more often now, sit more, run up to me more, ask for help with things, etc. It was like they all ‘woke up’ after the update. So far when doing house visits, we only have played High Card Low Card. Are there other mini games?

I've noticed that during the announcements Isabelle will now notify you if you have a special villager on your island So if Flick or Gulliver is on your island she will tell you, just like how she tells you there's a campsite villager I find that really helpful

I love that because people have been asking for Isabelle to have better and more useful dialogue, and notifying the player about the special character was one of the suggestions that I heard many people say. It’s nice to know Nintendo actually listened

Not sure, but Isabelle will not notify you if Celeste is on your island. Then again, for me she showed up at night when Gulliver had already showed up earlier that day (I booted up ACNH at 9pm, not during daytime). So either she doesn't announce when Celeste is there, or she'll only announce one special villager in her announcements. Will edit this comment once I do some time traveling to find out

You can get MULTIPLE reactions from the group stretches. AND you can learn reactions from going to KK concerts! There are enough to entirely fill up the 2nd page!!!!

i found out yesterday that they brought back the flea market feature from wild world! wolfgang asked me to visit his house, and after a while, offered to sell his belongings in his house! tried getting rid of things i didn't like in his home but he only allowed certain items to go, just like in the previous games! i was so impressed at this secret feature

For people who like moving trees and breaking rocks, the tomato puree will fill up the whole energy bar. Edit: I'm not sure if this got patched, but it's now at 5 stamina, same as most of the other recipes.

You may have had a luck boost for health, which increases how full you get from food

I don't know if it's a secret for everyone or just something I didn't know about, but there's actually an upgrade to the hospital in HHP. If you talk to the receptionist in the hospital and donate 120,000 poki you can add an upstairs to the hospital.

When it rains or snows, two gyroids show up on your island the next day in star spots. If it’s raining on a kappn island, you dig up a fragment AND a full gyroid

Seems like it varies between 2-3 because the first time I had rain after the update, I had 3 gyroids spawn. But the second time, I only got 2

When a villager invites you to their house, there is a chance that they will offer to sell some of their furniture with you! There is also a chance that they can give you their favorite song, I got K.K. Disco from Portia

Truffles wanted me to buy her furniture so much, but she gave me Neapolitan anyway. Also villagers have a chance of giving you their photo even if you haven't done the 62 extra tasks to obtain another one. I know because Blanche was the last villager to have given me her photo, but when she dropped by she gave me another photo of her

Yeah, they usually play a game with you and give a gift when/if you win (idk about when you lose since I haven’t lost yet), offer their furniture, and give you a song when you’re leaving

i don’t know whether or not you mentioned this in a previous video; but if you invite lottie to brewsters the whole happy home crew will show up with her and drink coffee!!

Villagers remember living on your island at the cafe!! I scanned my Marty amiibo and he reminisced about living on my island 6 months ago! I've also noticed that villagers are visiting each other a lot more.

Another one, which is very underrated, once you purchase a certain amount of items in HHP you also unlock the catalog with Wardell which you can order everything you unlocked to design with in all variations and its sent to your mailbox.

Transparent designs can be used on the new flag lampposts. I've seen someone make it look like hanging plants hanging from them.

Being able to see Saharah’s merchandise before buying makes me so much more interested in buying! I discovered that on Kapp’n islands, one of the rocks will sometimes be a money rock.

Yeah, if you’re travelling at night you might even get a shooting star island where you can get different star fragments as materials from rocks and you can make wishes too so that star fragments will wash up the next day.

One thing I’ve been enjoying is taking pictures in the museum with the handheld camera. I can really see just how detailed everything is. Finally saw that the ants in the lab were after sugar left on the counter with some coffee.

If you use either Tommy or Timmy amiibo cards at HHP, one would invite the other as his roommate thus saving you the hassle of inviting another nookling. They're truly inseparable its adorable. Also a great alternative way to obtain their photo. 😄

In the special Kapn' island there is a shooting star one with star fragments on the beach, AND all the rocks give you more fragments!! 😍 Also my roommate discovered something yesterday! When you go on a special island and the weather is rainy, you will find a complete gyroid in bonus of the usual gyroid fragment!! 😱

I went a couple months without playing and wanted to play though, so I updated with my switch set to August. Yesterday I was coming back from a tour with Kapp’n after the fireworks started and they were visible over the water when we coming back in. So cool.

I also discovered one of the islands you can come across when you use Kapn ride you can come across an island filled with money trees, granted the one I came across only had 1000 bells in them but it still adds up.

I actually had Resetti show up in the Roost yesterday. I haven't even seen any of my villagers there yet, so it was quite a surprise

There are some cool interactions with Gulliver and Gullivarr in the Roost. If he's on your beach and his phone is still broken, the Roost phone can't contact him. And even if his phone is fixed/found Gullivarr the pirate just plain old can't come to the Roost at all!

I happened upon a carrot island today and was excited! That little video of Punchy playing with the cat tree was so cute 😭

I got a pumpkin island the other day with a spooky seasonal recipe!

in happy home paradise, joan was visiting my hospital on monday, and when i interacted with her she gifted me turnips 💕

OMG PUNCHY! Seeing him play with the cat tower is life! He’s so adorable!

CJ is in my town today and I got new villager dialogue referring to CJ’s dad and how great he is.

I’m so excited for the daisy mae recipes! She already gave me a turnip salad and I’m in love with it! And I have that little yoga stretching suit thing from morning aerobics!

Its also possible to now put DIYs in the storage. I wanted to get lilies of the vally, was selling DIYs, and had to put those DIYs outside meaning I couldnt get them because my island was no longer 5 star. I really like this quality of life addition! :D

if you lack cooking DIYs, go to the restaurant on the DLC island in the kitchen, once a day you'll get a cooking DIY

@Gorou the recipe is on the food islands, the DIYs depends on the island, if it's a seasonal island you get seasonal DIY, if it's vine you get vine or glowing moss DIY if it's shitty standard island you get fucked (nothing special)

I don't know if it happened to anyone else but I realized that every few days there were many clothes and furnitures in the lost and found box in the community center ! And I am not talking about the few (ugly) furnitures that you get when a villager leaves the island but just new furnitures that seems to appear out of nowhere, and I even found some new stuff from the update ! It is just like on Wild World, where you could always find some great things at the lost and found items!!

I don't know if anyone has mentioned this but when you go on Kapp'n Boat Tours you have a chance to get a Bell Island. I noticed it today when I went on his boat tour. The trees are 1,000 bells for the bell bags on the trees but it's nice to have the chance of getting that Island if your low on Bells. And if one of your Islander's has one of the speech bubbles above their head they will sometimes ask if they can visit your home. And occasionally villagers will invite you over to their place as well, in the same way that they give you new reactions and whatnot. And in HHP once you build your Hospital and if you go visit and see Joan Mae there you can talk to her and she'll give you 3 turnips for free.

fun fact: If you start a island now you will also get the island life 101 app for free when you get your nook phone. (R.I.P. my old island that I reset out of stupidity since I didn't have all of the update features.)

I got a brewster cookie recipe after a while, as well as a coffee bean item, Im excited to see what other furniture I can obtain! I also witnessed Timmy pick up a to go coffee!

Check your villagers everyday, if you go into their houses and see them cooking, they eventually give you a diy cooking recipe😉 Fishing sea bass or other creatures will also unlock new diys;

A pleasant surprise for me was finding out they lowered the price for relocating houses! Instead of 50,000 bells its only 8,000 now :))

Something else I’m not sure if you knew, today I got Leif on my island and if you go to Harvs he’s not there

all visitors can still show up on your island and they won't be on harv's if they do

I don’t know how obvious this is but like with crafting, cooking increases the value of the base items so mix those sea bass with some weeds before you sell! Might be worth making a list of the most profitable recipes.

I just noticed this, but after a K.K. Slider concert you now clap for him! It really gives a feel like a real concert, instead of just ending the concert in awkward silence.

I haven't seen this mentioned and i don't know if it was updated a while ago and I didn't notice... But when you're customizing something you don't have to select your choice anymore you just pick and push +. Before I noticed this, you had to push A to make a selection or you didn't customized your item at all.

if you get an island with a different season, the critter on the island matches that season. it seems obvious but i didn’t even consider it a possibility. this means that you can catch critters from different season without time traveling! i just completed my critterpedia because of this (i only needed a summer sea creature)

She talked about how she was getting old and was here for her weekly appointment and that she's glad her granddaughter (Daisy Mae) has been helping her with her turnip business. Do you remember what day and time this happened?

I’ve come across money rock island, meteor shower/star rock island, wheat island, tomato island, potato island, winter island, cherry blossom island, winter cedar wood island, and regular normal islands with Kappn.

I don't know if this was added with 2.0 or another update, but Zipper doesn't let you just walk behind him anymore. Once he does his dance, he continuously turns to face you, so you can't bother him about his zipper. Which also means you can't get the dialogue for looking at his back anymore.

I came to the archipelago today and I saw Nat wondering around looking for the school so old characters aren’t just limited to the roost

I just noticed that you can actually put spare DIYs in storage now! That's so helpful!

in Happy Home Paradise most Special Villagers refuse to have a roommate but 4 of them, come with a roommate right away when you build there vacation home those being Timmy & Tommy and Flick & C.J.

If you use your camera and zoom in on the back room of the Roost, you can see Brewster's collection of gyroids!

Also now that you can store recipes - this is going to make sharing them so much better

Another neat detail is if a friend from another Island is on your Island you can do group stretching with them

With the cooking recipes, go fishing a lot! You’ll unlock a few new recipes per fish. And you can jump on Kappn’s boat and get certain fish from different seasons. I got a couple of squid recipes by going to one of the islands

I'm happy it took me a lot of work hunting today, but I finally got Shino to move to my island

Seeing special characters showing up on their own in the Roost happened to me twice already and the very first day I went on a Kapp'n island (right after I got done installing the 2.0 update) I got an abandoned carrot crop, which was cool.

2 things I discovered this morning while playing the game- 1. When one of the NPCs on Harv's island visit yours, they won't be there at Harv's. Today I have Saharah and she's not at Harv's currently. So this would apply at least to Kicks, Redd, and Leif, but it brings up a question about Reese and Cyrus, will they be outside during Wedding Season, aka the month of June? 2. Brewster also gives Recipes too. I just got one today (and I've been buying coffee everyday too).

Yep, Kicks was on my island but not Harv's, which is a uniquely realistic touch.

youve been able to do that since day 1

in hhp i just unlocked the ability to use poki to buy any item ive unlocked for use in designing homes! you can only get 5 per day but its a great way to get furniture you want!

When he mentioned the crop Islands, I was surprised it was mentioned because that was actually first island I got to visit and I was so happy to quickly get potatoes.

Probably because she doesn't really sell stuff like leif or Sahara, rather she gives quests like Gulliver or whisp

its a super small detail, but you can also finally store extra DIY recipes directly in your home storage :] i was so stoked when i discovered this LMAOO the days of having DIYs in random spots all over my island are over

I am addicted to redd's raffle xD I didn't actually have a chance to do his raffle prior to the update since I stopped playing before the first Halloween she didn't return until the end of September lol, so I don't know if this was prior to the update or not, but one thing I love is that if you get a book or magazine from his raffle, you can flip the pages and look like you're reading them uwu I got my first veggie island today! I didn't need the potato plants, but dug up some of them to give my friend since she has been too busy so she hasn't had a chance to play the update yet aha

The books and magazines have different variants so if you get the pocket book twice after deposited in the bank or held in hand you can see they have different pages

You can make more coffee statements depending on how much you let it cool, and Brewster can give you a cookie recipe once your friends with him 🖤

I saw Daisy Mae in my Roost today and she didn’t have her hat on- but she did have a veggie sandwich on her plate! It was so cute!!

I love the crop island. Got wheat from them but I definitely that flooring combo

I think I should mention this, but in happy home paradise if you made the restaurant facility and talk to the villager who you made the chef you get a cooking recipient daily, so I’ve been making use of that to get many cooking recipies

I just technically "beat" the Happy Home Paradise and the ending was neat! My Mom recently kicked out a villager and then first came across Shino on a NMT island. A while back, Raymond randomly moved in on his own too lol.

I visited a Maple Leaf and Acorn collecting Kapp'n Island today.

i got a crop island two days ago and i was quite amazed!! really needed those crops :)

Omg I’m watching this video while playing and decided to go on a kapp’n mystery tour and as soon as you said mystery crop island I got to my mystery island and it was a crop island! Yes!

Bob’s Gang! I was on a Kapp’n Island earlier where it was raining. I put down my Switch remote for a few minutes to do some work and all of a sudden I heard a huge clap of thunder - I jumped because it scared me and I wasn’t expecting it 😂. I’ve been enjoying these smaller updates scattered throughout the game. Another Kapp’n Island had a mix of both bell giving rocks and material giving rocks, as opposed to just one or the other found on the original Mystery Island Tours.

5:15 - Ok so what wallpaper and flooring is that then and how do you get them?

I managed to get the Candles Wall from Saharah's mystery wallpaper on my island and bought the Magic-Circle Flooring from her on Harv's island! The flooring cost 3600 bells. I'm pretty sure you can get the flooring from the mystery flooring option and the wallpaper from Harv's island too though.

Idk if its new, but it's gonna be my character birthday soon and I took my second human player (or whatever its called) to see kk slider, and he gives you the option to write a little birthday note for when he performs next time.

That's not new, but I really like this :) I have 5 players on my island and I'm the only one who plays Animal Crossing, so it was awkward to write letters for myself. But K.K. also shows letters from villagers, too! I think this is so adorable!

Did you know that you can invite any villager from your island to work by giving them souvenir chocolate? You can actually design a house for them ~ funny detail

When one of my villagers sat on the fountain, I thought he was going to fall in! lol. It almost looked like the back of him was hovering over the water.
