I realise that the Animal Crackers concept itself is beautiful and does deserve a screenplay - but many MANY beautiful stories get stuck in novel limbo. How'd you do it? Also, trying to buy Magic Carpet on Amazon and it's not available. Any idea where I can get it?

Ah. Well... NO one would buy it. So I went out and raised the money and did it myself. We did the whole thing independently. In Franklin, TN and Valencia, Spain. The actors and musicians got wind of it and came on board and it just kind of grew from there.

It's pretty rare to see a director so down-to-earth and not hesitant to connect to their audience on a personal level, it's really charming. That's a word I can use to describe a whole bunch of things about this film, the passion you and your team put into it all really shows. I can't wait to see the finished project, Scott!

This was randomly in my recommended and I was really confused, I was thinking eh I’ll watch it probably won’t be that good, OH MY GOODNESS THIS LOOKS AMAZING, THE ANIMATION, VOICE ACTING AND ESPECIALLY THE CONCEPT! While this doesn't look perfect, I can still see myself enjoying this film. The animation looks really impressive seeing as this is the first film you guys have worked on, the story is pretty creative with the concept of the actual animal crackers and the characters seem like they can be likeable. Let's just say that when this film officially releases, I will gladly pay money to see this. For your first effort in the world of film, this looks mighty impressive. P.S: I would also like to applaud you on replying to basically every single comment here. I can tell that you are the type of creator to care about your audience and what they think. I love that I feel nostalgic for something I've never even watched; can't wait to grab some snacks and watch it all!

When I saw the movie up on Netflix I was in tears. I remember commenting on this a while ago and just waiting for this to come out. I kept checking every few months and when I saw it came out I was just so happy. I've been waiting so long for this movie and I'm so happy that it finally is available for people to see. Thank you! Sorry to say it has NOT come out yet. :( The film has been finished for 2 years now. But has been held up by 3 different distributors in Hollywood.1 went bankrupt. The other extorted money from us. And the last has just sat on it for a year. We're doing the best we can to get the film back and release it.

I already commented on the reupload of this trailer, but this is a unique concept I really haven’t seen before. While some of the models do look a bit off, and the trailer isn’t too strong, I can tell this movie is gonna be pretty nice. Especially for a first movie, the animation is nice, voices are pretty good. Also, Ian McKellen villain?! Yes please. I’d love to see this when it comes out! Looks great, man.

I saw this trailer in early 2018 and honestly just suddenly remembered it now and i'm very shocked to know the movie hasn't been released yet, you really did your utmost best to get this film out! I think this way it gives more depth to the character. I mean, if it was only him, then we would only see him interecting with his circus "family" and his real family. + I like the fact they have coloured hair, it really highlights them and matches the circus theme

I saw the trailer for this movie 3 years ago and I fell absolutely in love. I remember reading up on your distribution troubles and was super sad to read about it. I just spent the last couple hours watching the movie and I cannot express how much I LOVE this movie. I’m clinically depressed and I don’t think I’ve ever smiled and laughed as much as I did watching your movie. I found this trailer by complete chance. Just by watching it, I can tell this is a passion project not backed up by mainstream big money studios and that makes it unique. I read through a few comments to try and get a general feel for the overall reaction, but what I saw about the struggles to get this film off the ground and be released for the world to adore....it's incredible. I may not know or understand the full story behind production, but this film will be on my radar. I see the creator has been responding to most of these comments. If I got to say one thing to you, Scott, it's that you are a visionary the modern world of film making hasn't seen since maybe the 80's. I'm going to college studying Psychology with a minor in film. Being a director has been a dream of mine....and from what I can tell....you're living your dream and I envy you for that. Can't wait to see the final film...I know it'll be amazing!

I think I, like many people, saw this trailer and was immediately skeptical. However, even without the cast (phenomenal as they are) and without the background to the issues this movie had (incredible that it's finally coming out); the story itself is interesting and for a first time director, I understand you did not have a huge budget whatsoever, but bravo for getting it done, getting it out there and now finally getting it released. i dont usually expect these small project, non-heard of movies, to be good in any way, but ill have to admit a few of these jokes actually managed to make me smile and this actually looks promising. that animation is so nice and i love how the characters designs were made! the stories original and all of this seems like itll do well! I thought so too. That's all it was supposed to be. Our budget is less than $20 million (Disney/Pixar animated film budget is $100-$200 million). This was supposed to be small. Then all these big actors and actresses came on board!

Dear Scott, I just finished listening to the SinCast, and I want you to know that my heart is breaking for you. You seem like the sweetest guy and listening to your journey of making the film was so exciting and interesting. I felt like was with you as you were in those meetings and directing actors and making revisions on the script. I just finished reading a biography of George Lucas and he has always been hell bent against studios because they seem to ruin everything. Hearing the issues that you've run into with them reminded me a lot of his experiences as a young filmmaker out of school. As someone who is studying to be a (stage) actor, I feel a kinship with you as a creative person and someone who wants to create and to prove themself. I've been so moved by your story, especially because I've been struggling with the same personal issues of depression. The trailer looks fantastic! I can't wait to see the movie, especially now that I know all of the effort and time that you have poured into it. Almost been a year since the film came out on netflix! So glad you, the cast, and crew were able to pour your heart and soul into this wonderful picture, and get great results! I know, it was an incredibly bumpy road, but gosh darnit, you all succeeded radically!

I'm going to add the the string of comments saying Cinema Sins brought me here. You can tell that there was a lot of passion here because it may have cheesy kids movie elements, but from the trailer, this movie seems like it has a unique style (both in animation and in story). Directors with unique visions are in short supply now-a-days. Great work!
