Anilao CritterFest 2015

Crystal Blue Resort's 2015 CritterFest. Photo/Video Workshop, in Anilao, Philippines. I'm trying to give you a 'feel' of the event, by including some topside footage. This video highlights 'some' of the critters that were found in 8 1/2 days of diving. Anilao is Macro Heaven. Diopters are a necessity here This time I tried to find more shrimp. Boy did I find them. Some barely visible to the naked eye. Also, I was lucky enough to spot some feeding activity. During night dives my video lights attracted the free swimming pearl fish, which various critters happily ate.
The main footage was shot with a Canon HF-S10 in a Light & Motion Housing with Keldan Luna4 lights, and Nauticam SMC1 diopter. The topside and wideangle footage with a GoPro Hero 4 Black.

Great to dive with you on the CritterFest Walter. I think you saw more stuff than I did! I particularly like the death scenes near the end.

Walter, as always another smashing video. Capturing behavior is not an easy task but you do it so very well. I also like you editing, i hope to catch you at Crystal Blue on an upcoming video workshop...Cheers! By the way, what diopter, camera and video software are you using.

Amazing!!! I have so many questions for you but the main one is: What is your camera set up? I am a biologist and an aquarist with an infinite appreciation/curiosity for marine life but my camera skills and equipment are a limiting factor. :)

+nick manderfeld Thanks for enjoying my film. The equipment is mentioned in the description below the video: The main footage was shot with a Canon HF-S10 in a Light & Motion Housing with Keldan Luna4 lights, and Nauticam SMC1 diopter. The topside and wideangle footage with a GoPro Hero 4 Black. I also named most of the critters in the description.
