It's now well known he utilized the pre amp from his Shaeffer/Vega transmitter for a defining sound. They now sell a reissue in pedal form by Solo Dallas as well as the radio transmitter itself.
The signature sound of ACDC comes from his brother Malcolms tone.
He infact uses 2 pedals. A recreation of his wireless unit he calls his fizz box and a very lightly engaged noise gate. Watch the rig rundown on KZread.
Actually,.....he uses an old Schaeffer wireless unit from 77-76. It compresses his tone and gives a mid punch. Which they now off as a pedal from Dallas Audio
I did yes. I do love hearing the dynamic way he plays the guitar and he talks about being of small stature and making his own chords because of his smaller hands. Very cool humble guy
