Probably one of my favorite modern Nerd episodes. But yeah, it was... definitely a console. That I wasn't alive to see be released. That's all I can really say.

Woohoo Lola is back! I know all about being sick. I've been having the worst time of my life lately. I've never been so unlucky. The week before Christmas I got the flu, and when I started to feel better my mom invited me for Christmas dinner but it turned out she had the C (youtube doesn't like this word) and infected me. So I was in isolation and felt horrible during New Years eve. I wanted to see the fireworks from my window so I put my lenses in and after a while my right eye started burning a bit, which I thought was because of dry eyes. So I went to bed, I removed the lenses, but during the night and next day my right eye started to swell and became extremely red and burning. My vision became blurry and very sensitive to light so I started to worry and went to the special C department in the hospital to see a doctor. She said it was probably a bacterial infection because of my right lens and gave me an antibiotic creme I had to put on my eye 3 times a day (every 8 hours). So I had both the C and an eye infection. The worst part was that I had to throw my lenses away but they were my last set of lenses (I get 3 sets every 3 months). So I ordered new ones but the delivery time was 11 days (I need special lenses bc of astigmatism). I broke my backup glasses like 2 years ago by accident and never bothered to replace them so I basically go life as a legally blind person. I only see vague shapes and lights now unless something is very close (like within 20 cms) and get headaches and dizzy spells. After I recovered from Corona my apetite came back so I started eating things which resulted in breaking a tooth from hard candy. So I started to eat with the other side with my mouth but turned out I can't put pressure on my wisdom tooth or it hurt like hell. So I called the dentist which I haven't visited for more than 2 years. Turned out he moved and send a letter to his clients they had to send back if they still wanted to be registered with him. But that letter was send to my old address so I was unregistered. The assistent said over the phone registering takes atleast a month and then an appointment for an intake and then an appointment for a first check etc. So I applied for registration anyway because I had no other choice (all have this registration period and atleast now I know my dentist) and luckely I got a welcome letter/mail yesterday (within 3 days) and my first appointment is now set for the 17th. I really hope my lenses will arrive tomorrow and this chain of unlucky events gets broken. 2023 is by far the worst year of my life so far but seeing you back is atleast a light in the darkness. :)

@@lolasroom7171 Thank you. Both my mom and me made a full recovery of C and my eye infection went away after 7 days. The main problem now is teeth pains and not being able to see much without lenses but I hope both will be fixed soon. They are just extremely annoying.

Fun fact: there was a sequel to Gloom... Gloom... 3 also known as Ultimate Gloom... (Why does it sound so familiar...) Yeah... there wasn't a 2. Reminds me of something... Baaah

Amiga cd 32 and sega companies were fighting over who has best graphics and cost and markets wars broke out back in 1993-1995(RIP)- I was there when all of this was going on stores and malls-DLH

Had this console Back in the days. Gloom was pretty fun, to be honest. It hast a Splitscreen mode, so I played it with a friend 😅

It was weird so many western-made game-consoles looked like crappy VCRs/CD-players. I guess the aesthetic is to make them look like high-end tech for an entertainment-center, but it just looks boring and dull.

there is a question that's bugging my mind all this time .. if the 32 bit technology already exist at that time like the Amiga & SEGA CD .. why would SNES & SEGA came up with the 16 bit to begin with .. ? why didn't they just skip to the 32 directly just like what amiga did , I mean the Tech was already available there .. i thought the 16 bit was the best they can do or the latest Tech they ever have at that time .. but no .. the 32 bit already exist at their time in other consoles , but they went for the 16 bit first any way , i don't know why .. looks like they always like to use the outdated Tech first & keep the latest best TECH for later when its become cheaper .. they did the same thing with the 16 Bit Tech .. they came up first with the 8-bit consoles even though the 16 bit was already available there in the Turbografx 16 at that same time , but some how they didn't want use it yet for some bizarre reason & went for the 8-bit first instead

The game started and it ran out of memory. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
