My brother's jack acts tough with everyone but me ( I'm disabled and had other health issues in past year) if he sees me he sits down and headbutts my hand to pet him

Best dogs in the world. My Jack is my best mate, my baby boy (I have 5 human sons) and my absolute joy to come home to after long days at work. 🥰

My JR is getting on in years so now when he’s having a growling moment, he starts coughing and has to calm himself for a minute Lol. That breed is something else 😂🐶🦴🐾❤

If he was actually angry he would bite. Dad's Jack does this whenever we play with him, he's not angry and he's not aggressive. If he grabs hold of your hand instead of the toy by mistake he completely stops biting down and just holds your hand gently in his mouth until you remove it 😂

That's why we own Jack Russells. Little guys with big teeth, strong jaws, and attitude. Like a derringer. Pocket sized .357 magnums. You could easily tote one around. First time someone harasses you, CHOMP jerk will be 😭 let it off me 😆

Miss my boy so much. Owned a full JRT and also a JRT x Staffie great boys both of them.

They’re so silly! We have a puppy and she’s so vocal and so weird. She always growls and snaps if you try to move her when she’s cozy, but she’s super gentle and never actually nips or anything, she just pretends to be tough 😂

I was staying at a farm and we were friends with the owners and they asked us to check in on her jack Russell’s when they were out (they had three mum and two daughters) when we came to check on them the mum looked like the devil honestly terrifying.

as a Jack Russel owner, I can say that this is totally normal. they try to threaten you off for now reason, they're not really angry.

I have a rescue Silky who does this. He is the most terrier of any Silky I've ever owned and it took me a long time to figure out that this was just his way of saying whatever it is he's saying. Just the same, when he's in this mode I don't push him because I really don't want to find out if he's actually angry. Terriers are special!
