This was a very strange story, finding out that your father-in-law pretends to give your baby to his daughter to care for while you still have your own baby with you. It turns out that he himself cheated and a baby came out and pretended that sat was his son's baby. But in the end it all came true and he will have to accept the consequences.

Why was the daughter-in-law saying she wants a divorce, didn’t anyone read over the contents before submitting it. It should be the mother-in-law not the daughter-in-law saying that! Please proofread!

It happened to me. My youngest divorced me when my husband and I divorced in 1993. Then my Mother said the Divorce was my fault and she divorced me. Later, she found out it wasn't true, but it was too late. True story

Why don’t they they sue the girlfriend too? She is not innocent and demanding financial help. She is just as guilty as the father in law.

Society only blames the man when it comes to cheating. They don't care if a mistress is knowingly homwrecking a family. She is a female therefore she is held to very different standards. Only the man should be punished. It's not in my book though. Homewreckers are garbage and should face the wrath of hell if you ask me. They are rarely innocent victims and usually know all about the wife and children at home and could really care less. Those types are soulless and only care about themselves.

From my understanding she was only seeking financial help from the father of her child, which she has every right to do. As for being guilty, it all depends on whether or not she was aware of his wife, if she was and still continued, then definitely yes, if not then she's also a victim of his manipulation.

I was about to say the same thing.

This entire story makes no sense. In reality, the mother and SIL would have likely gotten cursed out so badly they’d be curled in the fetal position, sucking their thumbs, and that would be followed by NC.

Not exactly, not every family is the same, I would have also did what OP did and try to get to the truth. As I like to get all the information before I place blame so that I'm less likely to curse out an innocent person.
