The life of a male hippo is a brutal one. 50% of them don't survive past infancy as the non parental males will kill them (very sad sight to see that) The mothers are only partly successful in protecting them.

Close Game. Hippo number 2 devastatingly ramming and pushing Hippo number 1 but Hippo number 1 literally bit the crap outta his upper mouth.

Hippos are angry and they are dangerous when they get super angry. Animals have emotions like everyone else. They are cute but they can kill with their tusks and they are killers and the mother hippos are protective of their children. That's why I respect Nature so much they are more better than humans.
