I'll tell you this much..... it doesn't matter too much what the actual LAW is if ya got an officer telling you how he see's it !? Even IF you're 100% correct & you argue or try to make him out to be wrong/stupid or a liar, he's gonna show you what he can do! I've seen it many times where you just roll w/ whatever & get yourself down the road. It takes so little to end up in jail & it's never worth going that route + your cHIT gets towed. Roll w/ his BS & deal w/ it all later. be safe & peace

New Hampshire, Florida and Maine have no insurance requirements for motorcycles I believe. You still can be held for penalties if determined to be at fault in most of those states I listed.

Fl, motorcycle insurance not required. But it's foolish to not have full coverage with the elevated elderly and young driver population we have

If you wear a helmet and your bike is paid off, in Florida, you don't legally need insurance.

@@OleMisss ok thanksfor reply, i been to Florida on holiday once and asked me on a car rent do I want isurae?? i took insurance anyway but if have insurance at home don't need it lol but have to ask, if on a bike with no insurance them plow in to a car or anything how does the car that's damaged due to your fault o the bike pay for the ar to be fixed?? and do you need a license for the bike??

I love the USA road rules. The cops just don't really seem too give a damn about speeding. In Australia the speed limit is the speed limit. It's the max you can go, not a suggestion. Most states allow a 2km discretion but that's it. I stick to 5 under just in case.

In my state 10mph over most cops won't blink an eye. The average they'll pull you over is 20mph over. But if you'd being a jerk, tailgating, weaving in and out they'll pull you over in a heart beat.

@ I'm in QLD and they are really tight on limits. My mum got done for 2 over and a neighbour got done for 61. We don't have signs like in NSW warning you of cameras and they are sneaky bastards. Thought I was done on the Warrago doing 104 down hill. But it was the guy behind in a car that I overtook who was doing 102 they got. Guess they thought it would be too hard to mess with a bike.

Oh that sucks. It's like, you're still going fast enough to get where you need to get but in the same hand. You just want to do a couple over just to move a long a little faster. Ik where I currently reside in the States, sheriff's won't bat an eye at people going 30mph over the limit as long as you're not being reckless. I was doing 70mph (where people usually do 60mph) in a 45 zone. Sheriff kept rolling on by.

It all depends on the cop. I got pulled over for 34 mph over the speed limit and the cop didn't even want to see my license, he just said to slow it down. Another cop tried to claim at 6 mph over the limit I was "fleeing and evading," a felony charge. I also had a sheriff deputy follow me for 20 minutes because I was driving 3 mph _below_ the speed limit. I've been polite and gotten a ticket and I've been nasty and argumentative and gotten warnings. You just never know what they're going to do.
