I don't think he failed. Chopin's fugue doesn't follow the conventional counterpoint rules, but nevertheless I find it to be a nice little piece, with a remarkable subject.

Chopin put more of his compositional skills into romanticism, unlike bach, who wrote all of his music contrapuntally. I think if Chopin really put the work into writing fugues he would’ve gotten really good at it.

Usually these fugues on modern themes you find on KZread are fine and good fun but not like mind blowing. This one, though… I’m no counterpoint expert but this one sounds fucking amazing. It’s not just a clever but dry demonstration of counterpoint devices, it’s an exciting piece, it’s original, it’s harmonically exciting, it’s the real deal… Well done…

I just know to start a fugue, but just sometimes it's decently good. I'd really like to compose a day. So I'm not that expert, but I think this is a real fugue, not just shit as the most of pretending "fugues" videos by amateurs. And for sure way better than them all.

Bach's fugue in Em from book 1 of the WTC is a 2 voice fugue. Idk about being able to play it on violin, but it might be easy to play on piano at slower tempos.

Avadhut Kasinadhuni Hah, I dont play on piano too and I've composed a fugue. I don't play on Organ and I've composed a 6 minutes long Preludium+Fugue (Together it lasts 6 minutes). Just get a music notebook and write it down. Then get a music program such like Guitar Pro or Sibelius and you'll be able to see and hear what is sounds like, what you create. You're welcome. Composing a fugue is pretty easy, so just sit down and try ;)

You should out write bach music today should be better than the past. I'm out writing in Beethoven's style by adding heavy counterpoint sort of heavy. I am working on a sonata on my channel

Did anyone try to play the score linked in the description? It seems hardly bearable at some places. The fingerings might be proposed are way too awkward for ordinary piano play. Or maybe I am just not skilled enough for this...

I'm learning it right now. No special difficulties, excepted in a couple of measures where it seems really tricky to hold some long notes. Let's use the forte pedal ! It's a fugue so you'll have to spend some time to "think" it, I mean to see which hand and which finger you use for each note...and your fingerings will be definitively not your neighbours' fingerings, each hand is different...
