Yes, Trevor LEGGETT lives nearby and he does not miss an occasion to go there and enjoy this great city and its unique atmosphere. We'll soon film his domain and will probably show you a bit of his classic cars collection, Angoulême being the place to be every September, for car enthusiasts, with the "Circuit des Remparts", 3 days of madness with the most beautiful cars ( around 800 ) coming from all over the world, in every part of the city. You can speak to the owners, see them drive in the streets, there is an elegancy contest, and also a lot of races on the Sunday. Honestly, even if you don't like cars, that's a great time to enjoy the city, it's full of people, live concerts everywhere etc... I personally live an hours drive away from Angoulême, in the Dordogne, and also love to find any excuse to go there and meet friends for a drink after work, or to do shopping in the weekend, or go in some of the motorcycling workshops there... Love Angouleme, it's the first town for my ever around France driving tour in the 90's.

There is so much to do in this town besides the festival.....I'm just a little jealous. I really like the property.

Don't be jealous, come here for a weekend or holidays, the whole south west of France is fabulous, the ocean side is just a bit more than an hour drive away, there are plenty of fast trains to Bordeaux ( 20mn) or Paris ( 1h45 ) from Angoulême, and the countryside around is simple amazing with some of the most beautiful villages in France.
