Naomi is overrated. It’s probably her bloated ego.

Well...if it was a door for a professional event and she was supposed to go first, then you just tried to steal her spot, and business is business, she can be sweet as pie and not be a pushover....

Very interesting conversation but I live for it.... I'm sure there were many incidents and some feuds with the 90s Supermodel group, probably just minor stuff. But nothing big compare to Naomi and Tyra feud, coz that was all over headlines and the press.

I think she means a physical fight with Karen Mulder. It's kinda implied by the way how she said she had a verbal fight with Naomi, but with Karen it was an actual fight, which is strange because I always thought Karen was humble, and self-secure, as she claimed to not be the jealous type of girl. I guess they were all just very young, hormonal, and still figuring who they were. I hope Karen is doing well wherever she is. The fashion world misses her dearly.

Karen has had some profound struggles in her life but she seems to be doing better now.

Love this! We want to know who got along with whom and the gossip from that era. I can tell you there were two separate groups of models that sat together at fashion shows but they merged around 91 and 92. OK so you had linda, naomi, christy, cindy, gail elliott and yasmin le bon. All friends and sat at shows together. This was cause they were all 80s established models and knew each other from the 80s. Then came the new girls in 90...helena, yasmeen, karen, carla, nadege, nadja all sat together. But as they worked more with each other and kept seeing each other on shoots and shows they all blended. The friendliest and most popular girl was Nadege she was friends with both groups early on. you won't find one bad comment about Nadege. What about Claudia? You may ask. well she was a loner. She sat by herself a lot. But she mixed in with the girls more after 92.

i honestly feel like models like Angie belong in a class of their own. Because while most have forgotten her she did come out still making a lot of money and seems very down to earth. The same thing with Kathy ireland who everyone says is a nice person

I mostly agree with your comment, but Cindy in the '80 and Claudia later had very busy schedules, Claudia had her mother at her side. The Monaco girls, Helena, Carla, Karen and Nadja used to fly at the same Time and spent weekends in Monaco, same the Trinity used to take the same flights before Linda and Christy stopped speaking each other for a while. Then la Moss arrived and she hated "fat" Claudia, apostrophed Carla "boring" Bruni, and became Naomi best Friend ( as all the models of the moment). I don't think that Nadège was really considered by Linda, Cindy and Christy, Nadège wasn't a party girl and never dated celebrites, often she had been dropped at the last minute for the fashion shows.

I know a young Dutch girl (Marinka) who said that Karen came up to see the new girls and was absolutely charming.

I didn't even know of Angie and I now realize I must know more about her! Love the honesty. The Naomi line reminds me of Mean Girls when they say "raise your hand if you've ever been bullied by Regina George" haha I'd love to get all her victims in one room!

right i loved how she just blurted her true feelings. it is a shame she is not in the same category as Cindy and linda cause she took really good pictures. heck even Karen is in that category.

I'm sorry is not that you weren't suppose to walk before Karen Mulder because she is Karen Mulder, I'm sure Karen was suppose to walk first because that was the designers team instruction and it was confusing to her why you went first if you weren't suppose to walk in that moment, it sounds somehow unproffesional to me

Angie was a new face and Karen was a well known model in Paris. Angie says " Whatever", well you don't whatever Supermodels do & don't. It was well known that Angie was kind of rebel at the time and her romance with Sly "Rocky" Stallone didn't help her ego maniac attitude. If Angie walked in Victoria Secret Fashion Show before an Angel, she would be put in place. I remember at Milan ready to wear when she was catwalking and blinking her eyes or showing her tumbs up, not professional at all. She was gorgeous but more a cover girl then a catwalker anyway. Agree! She had that bubbly the girl next door vibe on run way, her catwalk was not good. Just a beautiful red head girl vs. Karen Mulder, who had the strong stage presence with skilled catwalk and presentation. Obviously Karen supprassed Angie on all aspects of modeling and catwalker, but again, many beautiful girls and backstage is the mess with fighting and playing/ tricking/ bullying each other to get a shiniest spot!

I wish he would've shown Angie's face when she was discussing how Karen looked at her instead of showing runway footage.

These Supermodel fights are TEA☕ If you go to this video: m.kzread.info/dash/bejne/e4qj1dFxfdzYj84.html At 18:20 of the video Donatella Versace says that all the models were in competition with eachother. 🤣 She said between models today it's not a competition but back then the models would die to get the best clothes, she said the models had immense egos, and they would always fight to be the best in the group, she said the biggest girls like Linda, Naomi, Cindy, would get the best makeup artist at the time (Francois Nars) he would do the 5 biggest models and the rest of the team would go the other models. 😂 And the models would be there 8 hours before the fashion show lined up to all get their makeup done 😉 They used to do rehearsal the night before the show and she said the models would fight over the dresses. 😂

Karen Mulder was quite the supermodel of the 90s and she absolutely should walk in the door before you absofuckinglutly. Karen was certainly in the top 10 of supermodels along with Linda ,Naomi, Claudia, Christy Yasmine ,Helena, Carla . I didn't use any last names because if you know fashion and supermodels then you know to whom I'm referring. Granted I don't know Karen personally perhaps she was making a joke or perhaps you felt less than because her career was bigger than yours. The other red-haired of that time was Megan Douglas . At the end of the day you're all gorgeous no matter who walks in the door first.

Who is Yasmine? Do you mean to say Yasmeen Ghauri or Yasmin Le Bon? And Meghan Douglas is naturally a light brunette. She died her hair red in 1995. The other real redhead was Kristen McMenamy. Of course, red isn't the hair color we associate her today with. During the 90s, she was known for her grunge look with her short black bob cut. In the 2000s, she reinvented her look to look more like the a Snow Queen, so she grew her hair long and dyed it silver white.
