Yes, this is technically and massively overscored in FIG judges' standard, but that scoring range is actually ideal to the floor event. Floor becomes the lowest scoring event and we are now back to 2006-2008 bars quad.

Russia is mostly a corrupt country. With all of the past scandals, this could be an orchestrated attempt to send a message to other countries? Because I am with you, these score are too high.

I agree with you on this. These athletes are just athletes not soldiers. I'm sorry they don't get to compleat. But as to the doping, it's a state run program and for that they should be banned (figure skating, track, swimming etc.)

What I'm saying is she doesn't usually give much away on her landing feet wise she finds the landing pretty well. Geeeeeez!! Trying to give the girl a compliment. HER CHEST IS LOW EVERYONE!!!!

High 13 to 14 is justifiable. Her dance elements are pretty good. Ideally if floor were as high scoring as bars, this should have been at the range 14.3 -14.5.

Russia is the reigning team gold medalist but not allowed to compete in a team but could compete as individual? Really not worth competing at all. They must've spooked the team competition last OG when "can Russia secure silver" stuff was on. 😂😂😂

Is gymnastics the only sport within which the Russians compete as a team? Of course NOT. Btw., they BARELY got to compete at Tokyo's Olympics by a whisker and only as ROC. This time around, not a chance despite the whining.

I'm allowed to whine because the WAG team final is the most exciting to watch IMO. 2012 team final (being the most iconic and the best OG TF ever) got me hooked to all of this in the first place.

@@wkim22except she has a medical reason for taking Ritalin, and when you have adhd, stimulants have the opposite effect on the consumer than some college kid taking it to stay up all night and study. I’m on the highest dose of adderall allowed. I can take my medicine and take a four hour nap afterwards. In fact they can make the user drowsy and tired. The issue is the Russians illegally doped their athletes. Simone went the legal way and got a therapeutic use exemption. She’s never failed a drug test. Russia hasn’t been able to compete under their countries flag for doping issues for how many Olympics? They aren’t athletes diagnosed with adhd taking proper medication and legally applying through the IOC. Let’s not whataboutism Shit that isn’t comparable.

At 1:32 her landing had her chest almost on her knees....how is this scored so high? Her tumbleling is sometimes scarey to watch.

Form in acrobatic elements is not ideal but still better than most club gymnasts. Her form in dance elements are pretty good. Her dance is Moors level while average elite is Double Tuck level.

I mean yeah they’re banned. In reality they’d be right there on the podium if they were competing lol. Gold? No way. They would certainly be fighting for silver and bronze though

And it's sad because they are such good competition. They would be fighting for silver or bronze and the more competition the better the contest. The Russian ladies are beautiful dancers and bring elegance and beautiful elements to the floor and beam.

@@margaretkinnaman8585 Exactly. To act like their gymnastics is bad or sucks because they can’t compete is stupid. They clearly are doing just fine. Their Nationals are always rough. The skills and routines are there, the consistency is not. They still would be AMAZING competition.
