Million Miles, dedicated to her grandfather who passed away, but such a tremendous influence on Angelina's love for music and why she's who she is.

First, the lady you see in the audience is her grandmother. Angelina is raised very close to her. Her grandmother is a famous painter. I think she played Jazz around Angelina since she was very young. Angelina will graduate high school at 17 this coming year. They may have her go to college, and we will still have to wait for her to do more, or we will have to see. At this time, she is very sheltered and protected by her family. She did a concert in Norway this summer in which she sang at least 18 songs. It is on youtube. Her Uncle is her manager. She is much into charity work. You will find out in the video where she was, but a child liked her favorite boots, and she gave them to her. After this time, she stated she will go without shoes when all the impoverished children in the world had shoes. The song is a million miles by Angelina Jordan in memory of her grandfather, that passed away. Yes, she wrote the song. Her Mother is the lady they turn to two or three times in AGT when she sings Bohemian Rhapsody. Many videos on her youtube and her internet website will explain more. She plays with different people, sometimes who are famous instrumentalists you may know. There is so much more we have learned about her over the years. Her fans are called Angelina's Angels. So you are now a fan so your an Angel too. HA!

Angelina has signed a record deal with Republic Records and the Studio director Rob Christie is personally watching over Angelina.

Nice reaction! Her fans call her The Barefoot Princess. She always performs with no shoes when she sings. Why? The reason is very special. When she was 6 years old, she was traveling with her family in Iran where she met a shoeless homeless girl in the streets that was about her age. She made money by weighing people. After speaking with her for a few minutes, Angelina noticed the scars on the girl's feet and asked the girl what her dream is. The girl said she wanted to be a doctor but she couldn't because she had to make money for her family. Angelina did what came natural to her, she gave the little girl her shoes and told her to not give up on her dreams. The homeless girl then asked what Angelina dream was. Angelina told her that she wanted to be a singing superstar. The homeless girl said she would pray for her dream to come true. Since then, Angelina has performed barefoot in honor of that little girl and to those who are less fortunate around the world. She keeps this promise to this day. One of the reasons why we love her so much!

@11:15 is her Grandmother. If you watch any of Angelina's "home" videos when she was 10-14 years-old, her Grandma is the one behind the camera shooting the videos...pretty freakin' awesome if you ask me.

Mentor and great friend, Mary is an artist and poet and has doubtless inspired the words of many of Angelina's original songs. Angelinacspends most of her days in the studio. When she isn't recording she is still working in many ways. As she once said "To me music is life, and life is music". She wasn't joking.

She is the one who actually helped introduce Angelina to the study of jazz when Angelina was about three! They have a VERY special bond to one another. Great reaction: yes, she had the version by Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong running through her head as she sang... did you notice how at one point she whispered "Don't you say no" under her breath... nearly every reactor misses this but it's notable I think .. it's Louis Armstrong's line from the duet with Ella Fitzgerald... I find the way she sings this, very gently, quite remarkable. Your comment about her "summoning the soul of Louis Armstrong" is very perceptive I think - spot on.

"Million Miles" is Angelina's first release under Republic Records, at the age of 14. She wrote this one about her grandfather, who had passed. There are 3 official releases of this song (lyrical, in studio, music video). Immediately after these, you should take a listen to her live performance this made at Norway's 2022 annual music festival. Angelina is accompanied by people you will see again, but since she moved to the US, there's one musician you will see a lot of. Ivan Mendez, an acoustic guitarist, was invited to play for AJ. There's a video made about a year ago of an interview with him that's well worth your watching. Ivan shares his experience with Angelina and her family. I won't tell you much more about it other than that he gets lost in her singing while accompanying her. The lady in the video is grandmother Mery Zamani. Mery was a child prodigy herself, but in the talents of poetry and art. Mery is her mentor. Mery helps produce some of her videos as well as designing her attire; most notably being the colorful ensemble she wore for her audition on America's Got Talent The Champions in 2020. In that performance, you will repeatedly see a group of 4 people. Good reaction. This early performance of "Summertime" was so impressive. I loved it. Her first audition on the show of "gloomy Sunday" by Billie Holiday was the one that made people's head's snap back in her direction, first catching the attention of an international audience. But her second one, another Billie Holiday song, was impossibly done with no music and all her competitors standing just behind her, showing on stage she has no nerves. She pretty much left everyone speechless. The next one I think, "Bang Bang", let everyone know she was not limited to old school jazz. She is one of the most versatile singers in the world. So many wonderful covers and originals. She's not scared of tackling complex songs from top artists.

One thing to consider she is singing in a second language, the lady is her Grandmother. Angelina wrote a song about her and how the grandmother protects her it is named "Shield" Love the reactions.

Great reaction, Romeo...!!! Nice..!! You was right about the posters with the image of Louis Armstrong. He was a huge influence on Angelina's career as a vocalist. These posters also have the text: "ANGELINA - Born to Sing". And, yes, Angelina has her own band, more than one depending on the period of her career. In this song, only the trumpeter is live, the other instruments are recorded from the original arrangement by Ella Fitzgerald. Thanks for another great reaction to & appreciation of another masterful performance by Angelina - this time singing Summertime at the finals & winning NGT. Highly recommend a couple more of her great performances while still just 8 years old -What A Difference A Day Makes which she performed at an outdoor Norwegian summer music festival - & her US debut on The View singing Fly Me To The Moon. That performance also include a short interview in which she answers the question as to how old was when she started singing. Thank you. And may GOD continue to watch over & bless Angelina Jordan.
