Angelina is in the process of learning to play 3-4 instruments, piano, guitar, flute and violin I think. Like most musical genius's her appetite for learning is huge. Her capacity for learning is also huge. over the next few years I think we will see a tremendous growth in her grasp of music. Things she knows instinctively will have meaning on paper and she will start writing songs from her own experience and knowledge. This song has always touched my heart, and I never heard Angelina Jordan sing it before.

The original by Chris Isaak was great. The cover by Diana Ankudinova was brilliant. Then came Angelina. I have been listening to her for 2 years, and she still amazes me, time after time. You can't help but become emotionally involved almost immediately. Krizz, you were right about the simplicity of this arrangement. To me, that's a trademark of Angelina. Less is more. That approach always works for me. She is an awesome talent.

The original by Chris Issac was very good and emotional too. She does full justice to the song. How does Angelina produce this feeling of heartbreak when she is too young, innocent, and protected to have experienced it? Hi Krizz, that was an awesome, a great reaction. Of all the covers on this song 3 are my favorites. The originals from Chris back in 89 ( which I fell in love with back then) Then there's Diana Ankudinova I love how she took & made a big production without letting it overwhelm her & she turned into a great Pop song in a modern way with a little Russian folk song style to it. Just great. Than there's Angelina Jordan's arrangement & composition of it, she went the exact opposite direction completely redone it & just her on her little keyboard in her room playing 3-4 cords & just telling a story using her voice just amazing. Angelina Jordan, was age 11-12 when she did this song. IMHO I liked Angelina's the best for she took the song herself & stripped it down to nothing but a couple of cords & her voice telling the story. Her musicality is off the charts & her musical intelligence is at super genius level & maybe beyond & she's only 11-12 yrs old here.

The way i see it, the surrendering to Angelina' s spell is triggered by her amazing vocal power to overcome all our defenses and to grab gently our captive heart, like she does with her yellow bird, before lovingly touch our trembling soul.

Hey krizz this is a side note about how special she really is. When she did this song she was asked about it, she said she just wanted to go & play around with the song in her room & the words. Just think this is the results of a this 12 year old playing around & it turned out to be this amazing. I wonder what it would of been like if she took it serious. To me this is the best rendition of the song for what she did & how it makes you feel. Her phrasing was amazing & her musicality & music intelligence are off the charts & she was 12 here. I think every singer has the goal of making you feel what they are singing. This is the one everybody should watch. The other one is a slide show of pictures showing cute Angelina growing up and they don't quite mesh well with this rather extremely sad song Wicked Game. I mean, I was listening to the song, feeling nostalgic of past love problems, and I remember the times I watched Chris Isaak's original music video, and watching cute and colorful pictures of Angelina. All at the same time. Feeling was all over the place, sad to joy and back to sad. So confusing. I am quite sure many reactors felt the same and that cannot be good.. So I have been recommending this version ever since I found it. Btw great reaction. I love it.

There is a video on Fanclub Mosarz which is considered a somewhat semi official channel because it's most likely driven by some family member. But that one is illustrated with upbeat childhood pictures of hers, which can disctract from the mood of the song. So in my opinion this fanmade alternative is the best version available for a first reaction to the song. The sound is the same for both. So dont worry, you did everything right :-)

Now here's the problem I checked the comments and nobody mentioned her, because nobody knows her yet, But I do!!! Don't pass her up she is something else!!!! If you match the two singing the same song the winner would be which ever one suits your own feeling!! For me it's don't ask me to choose only one, because both are excellent in their own way!!
