Her covers are such a loving tribute to the original artists. Like she's channeling Amy Winehouse to show what a great talent the original artist was. Like one superstar paying tribute and respect to another great artist. And that's so touching because it makes you realize how tragic it was that we lost someone as special as Winehouse at such an early age. Born Angelina Jordan Astar on January 10, 2006 in Oslo, Norway to her Norwegian mother, Sara Astar and her Swedish father, Gerry Christian Slattman. Angelina started singing around 18 months of age, after listening to Whitney Houston on KZread. She quickly became obsessed with listening to music videos and her maternal grandmother, Mery Zamani got Angelina interested in classic jazz. Mery Zamani is Iranian and was considered a prodigy as an artist and poet while growing up in Iran. Angelina attended the Oslo Waldorf School and participated in the Oslo School of Music and Performing Arts after-school program, where starting around age 4, she had training in music but no vocal training. Her teachers were smart enough to not attempt to change what she was doing vocally. More recently she along with her grandmother have designed and made the clothing she wears on stage. *Why Angelina always performs barefoot* At age 6, while traveling in the Middle East with her mother and grandmother, Angelina noticed a girl around her age standing on the side of the road, asking people to step on her bathroom scale to be weighed in hopes of getting some money. Angelina took off her shoes so as to not get the scale dirty and stepped on the scale many times to make the girl feel better. Angelina befriends the girl who was not wearing shoes and has scars on her feet, and learns she is an orphan. The orphan girl tells Angelina how beautiful she thinks her shoes are. Angelina says her shoes don’t fit her well and she wants to give her shoes to the orphan girl who thanks Angelina for giving her the shoes. Angelina asked the girl what she wanted to be when she grew up and the girl replied, “I want to become a doctor, but that will never happen since I have no parents and I have siblings so I have to do whatever is necessary for us to survive.” Angelina told the girl to never give up on her dreams. The poor girl asked Angelina what she wanted to be when she grew up and Angelina replied that she wanted to sing for the whole world. The poor girl said she would pray every day so Angelina’s dream would come true. Angelina still says she thinks of that homeless girl every day and has always performed barefoot to remind her of all the children who are less fortunate. At age 9, she became the youngest published author in Norway’s history by writing a book about this encounter in the Middle East. Angelina, at age 6 and 7, did record a few songs in a recording studio at her school, most notably “I Who Have Nothing”, a truly remarkable performance for a 7 year old. At age 7, Angelina’s audition on Norway’s Got Talent, was a cover of Billie Holiday’s “Gloomy Sunday”, a song which was banned by a number of European countries during World War II because authorities worried the song would increase the suicide rate. Truly bizarre that this is the song to launch the career of a child musical prodigy. One of the judges on NGT cried. Angelina had turned 8 years old for her next performance on NGT, covering Billie Holiday’s “I’m a Fool to Want You” singing acapella which was required by NGT unless the singer also played an instrument while singing. This was the Judge’s cut round of the competition and was not performed in front of an audience. In the Semi Final round of NGT, Angelina sang “Bang Bang” which was written by Sonny Bono and was first performed by his wife Cher but is best known sung by Nancy Sinatra. The improvement in each performance is incredible even though there were only a couple months between them. In the Finals, Angelina did a cover of George Gershwin’s, “Summertime” and won the contest, capturing 46% of the votes from the ten finalists. When asked what she would like to do with the prize money she won (500,000 kroner or about $80,000), Angelina replied, “I want to give it to the poor children”. Angelina had become a star in her native Norway and her videos on KZread went viral. She gave a few concerts during the summer of 2014 while 8 years old. In December 2014, Angelina realized a life-long desire to sing at the Save the Children's Peace Prize Celebration which is part of the Noble Peace Prize celebration. In 2019, Angelina accepted an invitation to compete in the 2nd season of America’s Got Talent (AGT), The Champions. She had, since age 3, wanted to perform for Simon Cowell and she earned his praise with her genius arrangement of “Bohemian Rhapsody”. The surviving members of Queen loved it so much they put a link to it on their Twitter. Angelina was eliminated after covering Elton John’s “Goodbye Yellow Brick Road”. Angelina’s family refused to sign any agreement with AGT. Angelina, before age 14, had covered more than 130 songs from 80 different artists, spanning at least 8 genres, all of which are available on KZread. She has always shown a great stylistic harmony with Amy, who is one of her artists of reference from the vocal point, certainly then Angelina's great artistic personality comes into play and the sum of the elements gives fantastic results. This is my first experience of your reactions. Your demeanor initially had me wondering if you were jacked up on speed or 80 cups of coffee. (LOL) But as I listen to you deconstruct this performance, I became ever more impressed that here is a guy who knows something and really understands voical performance. Many insightful comments and top of the line analysis. Much appreciated. ... Angelina is a stunning prodigy. She grew up on jazz thanks to her grandmother's listening tastes. She handles a number of genres masterfully and covers a broad collection of singers superbly. She has a beautiful, distinctive tone, which is something that sets her apart. But even more so is her musicality. No performer of her years, perhaps with the exception of Michael Jackson, comes close to her ability to interpret music. That was what Quincy Jones (producer of Michael Jackson's Thriller album) said about Angelina. Angelina performed at Quincy's 85th birthday celebration at the O2 Arena in London, England at his request. I am particularly impressed how you picked up on Angelina's musicality in this performance of Valerie. I have watch this video several times and didn't see that to the extent that you did. Again, kudos for a very substantive review.

The specs read, "Pressure gradient transducer, cardiod." The microphone shown in the video was the 102, but since the audio was recorded elsewhere, it might not have been that mike.

Try I put a spell on you, black and white version, the band is the jazz sectionof the Norwegian Radio orchestra. (NRK). it is an epic performance. Another great band was for the jazzfestival at Prosen??, the opening song with a long band intro is "loving you" which is her revised lyrics for I want make love to you, so it would be age appropriate for an 11year old. She also sings Cry me a River with a great trombone solo and Diamonds are Forever at the concert. They are all Killers. Some reactors have started listening to the whole song without comments. Then replaying it with interruptions. It let's you enjoy the song more first. We get to hear it twice and enjoy your facial reaction, no acting please.
