original description from Christmas eve 2023:
I wanted to drop this so a bunch of you can get a good CRY going for yourself on Christmas day should you watch it then.
Some of you know I have been working on this - It is about 10 minutes till Christmas and I am STILL at home and STILL have to drive 200 miles Tonight to my childhood home town across Florida and south.
Soooo, I will take the time LATER to write an actual description.
Take note of the 4 simple words I add just after Angelina begins her Nobel Peace Prize 2023 Performance of Unchained Melody. That should get things flowing if you were able to hold back the tears up to that point.
M E R R Y C H R I S T M A S to all,
and to all, as always,

James this was so well put together, and a wonderful, wonderful video to introduce people to the whole package of Angelina. Otherworldly singer but also just overflowing with love and kindness. I have mentioned you as a great new ambassador for AJ in my top 10 for 2023 video, and I have linked to your channel in the description. Now I may react to this, to give it more exposure! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

AWESOME ! I just watched your Top 10 - I think many of those would have been on my list as well. So, you like my Video - COOL. If you were to react to it that would be Great - it is doing well, but further exposure to a bigger Subscription Audience would be Great because I think getting to know more about this Years' Nobel Peace Prize is important, both in respect to the Prize winner Narges and her story and of course just how Angelina is the Obvious and - in my opinion - really the ONLY choice for this tribute. She was spectacular, and for me this is #1 on my Top 10 list, because of her Flawless delivery for such an emotional tribute delivered to the children of whose Mother they very well may never see again. Narges's health is a concern and if the 'authorities' so decide, her health could decline rapidly. Please do React to this video. On another note, I have 2 other videos that I am particularly proud of: 'WHITNEY INFLUENCE' 'LE BAL EXPERIENCE' I believe you would like both if you have not yet seen them. And there is an Absolute GEM in WHITNEY INFLUENCE - the video I took of the final 1/3 of Whitney's I HAVE NOTHING from PORTSMOUTH, recorded from the Front Row - it is video like no other, and I cleaned up the audio fairly well too. That PORTSMOUTH footage is also in my 'ANGELINETTES remix 16, 17 I HAVE NOTHING' Thanks for remembering what I have done and continue to do for Angelina and her ANGELs. 😇Jim

Mr. James Thiel, If I wasn't a man of letters, I'd be speechless, but I am. So, James this is the most powerful presentation on this performance that I have seen. You have put it in historical perspective with your intro, of why they were all there in the first place, not to be entertained, but to hear a new/old song of defiance and conscience, against those that would deny basic human rights. I could not be more proud of your work. Rb

John Gary vs Angelina Jordan Unchained Melody********* One of the most memorable experiences of my life was seeing John Gary perform live in Seattle, WA, when I was 20 years old. He had such a powerful and beautiful voice that filled the whole auditorium. During the break, he sat down on the edge of the stage and played his guitar, singing Unchained Melody with so much emotion and passion. It was a sublime moment that I shared with my wife, and I felt like we were the only ones in the room. At that time, I thought to myself; how could anyone top that performance, but 56 years later a 17-year-old Angelina Jordan just did. Angelina Jordan's performance at the Nobel Peace Prize ceremony in Norway in 2023 blew me away. She sang with such passion and emotion that I felt every word in my soul. She truly captured the essence of the song and made it her own. and she is only 17-year-old. I have never heard anything like it before, this genius never ceases to amaze me. © Larry D. Pifer

*****This video is a masterpiece that I have watched more than 75 times. Every time I hear the KORK Orchestra begin playing, I feel a surge of emotion because I know what is coming next: the most amazing rendition of Unchained Melody by the incomparable Angelina Jordan. She has a voice of an angel and a talent beyond words. Unchained Melody Nobel Peace Prize 2023 Some ask why Angelina Jordan would pick Unchained Melody for this event, Narges Mohammadi, the Iranian human rights activist who received the prestigious award remains in Iran. One of the most popular and enduring love songs of all time, Unchained Melody, has a surprising origin. It was composed for a 1955 film called Unchained, which tells the story of a man who is incarcerated for a crime he did not commit. He yearns to be free and reunite with his wife and children, who are waiting for him outside. The song captures his emotions of loneliness, hope and longing, and has been covered by many artists over the years, but none in my lifetime of 76 years have conveyed such emotion as Angelina Jordan did at this performance. © Larry D. James, you did honor to this special performance by Angelina. First and foremost is highlighting Narges Mohammadi and her story and plight. Then putting this performance into proper context for Angelina and her family. I hope your video will inspire more people to spread Narges's story. I am confident that is what Angelina would want her angels to do. With a chorus of hundreds of millions of people, around the world, the better the chance Narges will be freed.

Angelina was the ONLY choice, the Nobel prize committee luckily realized that. Thank you much for the kind words about my videos. I really am note sure why, but creating these things often seems to just HAPPEN. I created my first ever video in Late August, a month before her Portsmouth concert - it was less than a minute long and had no audio because I didn't know how to add it ! I am still rather BAD at video editing, but given enough time, things can apparently come together in the end. It is rewarding that the 3 videos I am most proud of are also so very well received: WHITNEY INFLUENCE, LE BAL and this one . . . NOBEL STORY. Truedarkseed actually used this video in his return to Reactions on his channel - the first for 2024. He was made speechless by Angelina's performance, as I expected him to be . . . one can imagine that his (and anyone else's) response to Angelina's performance would unavoidably be quite different without having first been made aware of at least some of the backstory. MISSION ACCOMPLISHED !

Unchained Melody (AJ, at the age of 17 performed at the Nobel Peace Prize Ceremony December 2023 in Oslo, Norway.)I watched as Angelina Jordan stepped onto the stage, her presence commanding attention. The room hushed, anticipation hanging in the air like a delicate thread. She stood there, a young girl with an old soul, ready to weave magic with her voice. As the first notes of "Unchained Melody" filled the room, time seemed to slow. Angelina's voice wrapped around each word, infusing them with a depth that transcended mere lyrics. It was as though the song had been written for her, and her alone. The audience held its breath as she sang. Her voice soared, reaching heights that touched the heavens. The pain and longing in her eyes mirrored the emotions in the song-the heartache, the yearning. It was more than a performance; it was a revelation. The chorus came, and Angelina's voice swelled, filling every corner of the room. " Oh, my love, my darling I've hungered, hungered for your touch," she sang, and suddenly, we all did. The magic in her performance was like nothing we had ever experienced in our lives. The lyrics came alive and had meaning as they flowed through us. In that moment, Angelina Jordan became a vessel for something greater-an embodiment of love itself. Her voice carried us beyond our own pain and loneliness. We felt connected-to her, to each other, to something intangible yet profound. As she held that final note, time snapped back into place. The applause erupted-a thunderous acknowledgment of what we had just witnessed. But it wasn't just applause; it was gratitude-for allowing us to glimpse love through Angelina's eyes. And so, we stood there, hearts full, tears in our eyes. Angelina Jordan had given us something rare-a reminder that love exists even in our brokenness. And for those few minutes, we believed it with every fiber of our being. ©

We all know that most people consider Bobby Hadfield's rendition as 'The Gold Standard' for 'Unchained' and deservedly so, but Angelina brings forth such an emotion laden, penetrating performance at the Nobel Prize tribute ceremony that it is so fitting in honoring Nargis Mohammadi, a supremely brave woman who is languishing in an Iranian prison for her attempts to insure rights for women, that is simply on a different level than Bobby. The fact that Angelina's beloved grand- mother 'Mery Zamani' is Iranian, gives Angelina's presentation that more more significance for her wanting to appear at this year's event in her home town of Oslo.

Mery's ability to realize genius in her granddaughter at such an early age, for I know of no one else who would have thought a 1-1/2 yr old toddler could sing a Whitney Houston song like Angelina did, is simply beyond amazing. Was it because she knew her own capabilities were on a similar level and therefore pursued unheard of pursuits for Angelina because of that? Mery was reciting her own poetry on Radio Iran when she was 4, and perhaps that fact guided her with Angelina.

By giving us the musical/cinematic background to the song and the historical/cultural significance honoring Nobel Peace Prize winner Narges Mohammadi, including Angelina's family connection, you really set the stage for her breathtaking performance of this classic song. This is exactly the kind of introduction people need to see to fully appreciate what Angelina set out to accomplish, drawing awareness to Mohammadi's plight and the tremendous price she is paying on behalf of all women in Iran. And you added the cherry on the cake with Angelina appreciating the love and support from her angels. Very touching! Tears flowing. Will be featuring this in my AJ blogpost. James, I realize that I had not put a comment here since it's been up for two months though I commented to you privately in preview. There is not much I can say that has not already been said, and I agree with all of it. As Chris said, "a wonderful, wonderful video to introduce people to the whole package of Angelina". But it is Angelina herself and the event at hand that shines most here. Just as Angelina said at the end "You guys are so close to my heart, you mean the world to me", I want to say to you Angelina that YOU are very, very close to my heart and YOU mean the world to ME too, I mean that sincerely, ❤❤❤you.

All the background information you included about Angelina and particularly about her performance at the Nobel Piece Prize tribute to Narges Mohammadi is essential to fully understand this was not just another great performance by her but a true homage to Narges, her family, her fight and to everyone who is unjustly impisoned and tortured for their beliefs of freedom, democracy and self sacrifice ♥

Also, I am a bit of a sponge and can remember obscure things from out of nowhere, which is great, but then trying to go back and find those 'things' is the challenge😁 then. Yes, only 8 months. But in educational terms, I would estimate at this point I have at lease a Bachelors degree in 'Angelina'. If I did not, it would be impossible to attempt compiling a cohesive story, which I hope I did here. So far so good - no 'corrections' have been brought to my attention !😁

Looking like a Greek Goddess of Music and singing like a Heavenly Angel, Angelina soars above the pettiness of mankind to give us this spectacularly emotional rendition of “Unchained Melody”. The background information you have given us James, and the words from Angelina at the end, gives credence to this being one of, if not the most significant performances of Angelina’s young life. I have lost track of how many times I have watched her sing this, but she brings me to tears every single time. The only other time this happens is when I listen to Elvis sing “Take My Hand Precious Lord”, and I’m not even a religious person! Anyway, thank you for this wonderful presentation and can you imagine if Angelina ever did a Gospel Album what she could do to those songs? Elvis’s only Grammy was for his Gospel Music and he’s in five Halls of Fame. Seems kind of ridiculous, doesn’t it? Let’s hope the people in charge these days are a lot smarter than the ones in the past!

Brilliantly put together. Thank you for using your time and expertise to emphasize the profound meaning behind this performance. It's just my opinion, and I understand their rationale (so no disrespect intended), but I do believe that reactors who don't take the time to research and understand the background and meaning of a performance, cannot possibly appreciate, and therefore cannot present to their viewers, the full impact of that performance. One reactor actually was querying whether Angelina had won the Nobel prize! The full impact of this song choice in particular and the almost sacred way she performed it, already so exquisitely beautiful, is made even more so when you understand the background. Could you imagine how Narges' two children must have felt listening to this? Thank you for taking us through the history, step by step, lovingly enhanced with clips of our Angel that so stunningly illustrate the incomparable beauty of her voice, her masterful vocal control and her incredible versatility. Magnificent job.

It was made for Angelina and You - her ANGELs. And not that I believe you were necessarily stating so, but the last thing on earth I am is a Reactor. I guess based on the last several projects I have completed, you might call me a storyteller, one that ALSO happens to be an ANGEL. 😁😁😁❤😁😁😁 Glad you liked it. How'd you like the narrator at the end ? I bet nobody was expecting Angelina to say she doesn't want us to cry ! 😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁 😇Jim

My response to Angelina's not wanting us to cry: Unfortunately, we can't help it. This world has become so suffused with negatives - poverty, loss, hate, genocide, ruthlessness...the list goes on ad nauseam. Then along comes Angelina Jordan, our Angel, whose beautiful voice and even more beautiful heart become a light in the darkness, who touches our hearts and souls more deeply than any other artist this world has ever known. Crying is inevitable and unavoidable. Just look at the reaction to this performance by BigAngieFan: kzread.info/dash/bejne/nZqauMiQqa7Ucaw.html

James, thank you for your good intentions to put this video together. Let me play the devils advocate a bit. I know for fact that some Nobel invitees included Kurdish separatist leader and his entourage who have taken arms against the Iranian regime. Also included were advocates for regime change despite their unpopular, and hated, stance held by the public. Would you, or other angels, think that Mery or Sara would’ve allowed our beloved Angelina ❤️ to walk into such a politically charged ceremony if they knew more about the invitees’ roster? I hate politics and I hope all of us who love AJ don’t get her caught up with non-Angelia agendas. Merry Christmas to all. Peace ✌️
