This song was co written by Toby Gad (piano player in the video) and artist BC Jean and made famous by Beyoncé. Gad is a producer/songwriter and just released an album called Piano Diaries which includes past songs he cowrote. He asked various artist to perform the songs including Angelina. Angelina performed this song in London just over a week ago as part of an event honoring songwriters of which Gad was one of the honoraries. She also performed it a few nights later at an awards show. Angelina also wrote some songs with Toby. One of them Bad Valentine is supposed to be released in a few months.

Tobias "Toby" Gad is a German music producer and songwriter. His biggest success to date was All of Me by John Legend. Another big success was Big Girls Don't Cry (Fergie). He has also worked for artists such as Beyoncé (If I Were a Boy), Madonna, Brandy, Natasha Bedingfield, Mandy Capristo, Shakira, Nick Carter, Donna Summer, Selena Gomez, Sandra, Demi Lovato (Skyscraper) etc.... Yeah, you're completely right. This is Angelina's new Original. I didn't know this song before either. That nice pianist Co wrote it and some singer called Beyonce already sang it some 15 years ago. Some people heard it since then (not me). So, you're right, it's Angelina's new Original ;))

Just to let you know, the other co-writer of the song, BC Jean, was the first to sing the song as well as the person the song came from. Per Toby, they played it for Beyonce one day and she really wanted to sing and use this song, and the rest you say is history. This was a Beyonce song but it is now an Angelina song. !!!!!

Angelina did not write this song - it was written by Toby Gad and BC Jean and first sang by BC Jean and then Beyonce (who had a big hit from it ). However, Angelina and Toby are collaborating on original music to come out later in 2024 - their first original together is titled Bad Valentine.

👍👍 Well,, Sir there is a total different style that they did,, it's on her "ANGELINA JORDAN OFFICIAL" it's more of a reto-pop theme to it (To me),,, instead of this classical-Jazz I hear in this one,,,,, So she actually got 2 Awards/Grammy's covered in the music world,,, 👣🌬🌎

It was meant to be on BC Jean’s debut album however it was rejected by the record label. After the record deal fell through Toby Gad marketed the songs the he and BC Jean had been writing together. Beyonce liked If I Were a Boy. She recorded it and coproduces it with Gad.
