This cover is glorious, it lets her voice absolutely shine. Thanks to Toby for asking AJ to sing this reinvented cover of his song for his Piano Diaries album. Toby is quoted saying, “Working with Angelina has been nothing short of inspiring. Her ability to channel profound emotion through her voice adds a whole new depth to the song.” They are also working on other songs for AJ. This will be huge for her. This year will absolutely launch Angelina to the general public. After 16 years of practice she has now arrived.

I just get lost in her beautiful voice--a tremendous performance. I'm really expecting this to be a magical year for our barefoot princess. Last Tuesday the official music video of this song is released on Angelina's KZread page: it is filmed and produced by Toby Gad. In a interview he has told that he and Angelina are working on new songs together. That video sounds different because it has other instrumental support and a different vibe (it is filmed in the streets of London (UK)). I think they used the same vocal recording on it, but it reveals another thing which is kind of funny: you can see on that video Angelina is not used to playback songs. But I like it and I think it will speak to many people. Which one is the most beautiful? I don't know: is a matter of personal taste, but for me it is this one with just a cello, piano and few violins. Most important: both video's are very good and a pleasure to watch and listen to.

So the guy on the piano is Toby Gad. He is a multi grammy award winner or something like that and been writing songs with everyone.. He wrote *All of me* - john Legend. Demi Lovato - *Skyscraper* . Actually Angelina just finished co-writing her next single with Toby and it's called "Bad Valentine" and it'll be released at the end of the month. You know this WILL be her breakout single because almost anything Toby Gad puts his hands on becomes a HIT. He is probably one of the biggest hit makers alive today From John Legend to Beyonce & everyone in between he's written nothing but hit money makers for the past 20 years. It was Toby Gad's choice to have Angelina record this for his upcoming album. If you listen carefully you will see that she seems to be sing this acapella and the instruments are following her lead, adding icing to the performance.

A cover only in the sense that what Beyoncé made was a cover of the song written by BC Jean and Toby Gad, originally performed by Jean in 2008. Beyoncé's cover was that same year. In this video the pianist is Toby Gad .. the Piano Diaries are a celebration of his hit songs. He invited Angelina to England with him to perform .. this is the fourth version I have heard. I am not sure if it is really a cover when a singer is standing next to the composer as they jam to create a different version of the song.

Technically he did not go on tour with Angelina. They went to London last month to only perform this particular song at two events. Toby performed some other songs at the event with other artists that also appeared on his Piano Diaries album.

@@pjg58x well actually that’s a tour, after a preview of both songs in the us, they both went on the plane together to the next day to London than did a little performance for Amazon. Yes there was other arrests but they never traveled with Toby or Angelina.

There are 5 different vids for this song... a live in a nightclub a couple days before she left for London, a live performance in London for an awards show, interview performance , this vid, and her official vid. The co-writer (Toby Gad, pianist) chose her to sing this song. He is re-releasing some of his greatest songs with various different artists.

I am sure several Angels will update you on who Toby Gad is, how he came to invite Angelina to perform this song for his Piano Diaries album, and his importance to her career. Just to clarify things, Beyonce's version, just like Angelina's version, is a cover of the version by the original singer, BC Jean, who co-wrote it with Toby Gad. So although Beyonce did a fantastic job with the song and made it very popular, to call it Beyonce's song takes away the credit from the original singer and songwriter, BC Jean.

This version has Jordan’s deconstruction and rearrangement written all over it. The official release is more like Toby Gad’s original version, tempo wise.

Does this actually qualify as a cover, when the cowriter asked Angelina to perform the song with himself, he can’t cover his own song.

@@ThatSingerReactions I know that you are aware that BC Jean cowrote the song and produced the original, but her record label didn’t want to release it, so they got Beyoncé perform it for the official release.

Alright...you know how our barefoot princess can fool you with the glitter and nails and quiet demure when talking, but then you gotta roll on down with the Toby Gad collab train and get off at the Bad Valentine stop....she will knock you out in the first 5 seconds and say she got so much more where that's comin from...MUST SEE!!!!

Here's something to think on, if Beyonce never did this as a cover and AJ's version was the first release, were d o you suppose this version would be? I think it's a little better than what B gave us. just my opinion.

The piano player is also the co-writer Toby Gad, when has she ever copied someone elses song,, she always makes them her own. She did this song and an all original 'Bad Valentine' a few weeks ago at Hotel Cafe in Hollywood Ca, then both her and Toby flew to London and performed it at The Palladium.......try to keep up. Do some research, helps put everything in context. Angelina reactors are becoming more and more knowledgeable about her and what she's doing, not so impressed with you.
