She was about the same age as the character model when she assumed the role onscreen. Might be younger. I know she was in her late 20s then.

Some scenes she looks a lil wonky lol but 99% of the time she looks amazing. Really FEELS like classic era Croft

Why did seeing it as Angelina Jolie make me feel more attached and invested in the story? It just felt more like Lara Croft, where as her new appearance sort of makes it feel like a whole different character.

I usually avoid Angelina TR mods, but this model looks surprisingly good, kudos to the creator! Some day justice would be served, and we will see actually mature Lara in Tomb Raider, maybe not Angelina, but with features just as striking. Awkward mocap nuances aside, her model here looks so much better (or at least more interesting) because it's more mature, imo. (plus her muscles are even bigger than sottr Lara's, which is always a yes)

@@BadFluffy and to be fairer, I do think this cosmetic change alone massively helps the experiences’ shortcomings. One could chalk it up to “a Tomb Raider story with some “quirky character bits” here and there, since it’s more about the exploration & action than just the story. I think with the whole AI voice thing and maybe taking out all of the more unnecessary noise would also help the character a lot 🤩

I think that Jolie is such a natural image because she gives what, Lara Croft, was lost -- the image of a femme fatale

AJ face on that game is absolutely terrifying. And the fact that one eye glows now is kind of nightmare fuel.

This mod is almost like a preview of how Unified Lara might look like (excluding the face part, of course).

The scene where she’s hanging from the chair in the jungle.. wow the graphics are just wow!

This mod is amazing, however I like both Laras. The onlder one and the younger one. The trilogy is supposed to be the origin of Lara Croft, she's still fighting her past demons and hasn't become the seasoned rider the first games portrayed. I loved the trilogy, and I love old Lara, both are great.

The jaguar scene...she made a pin cushion of that cat and he still lived and somehow pulled the arrows out, so unrealistic.

I realise I'm talking about the evolution of many cultures, over the course of millenia, but I think Jonah is almost certainly the greatest fictional character ever conceived, in any artistic medium, and in every possible sense. @@JB-Editing There is just one small bug with it. Sometimes your holstered weapons like your bow or knife get glitched to the ground. This happened in exploration mode and after I completed the game. Thankfully with the “Hide all holstered weapons mod” I was able to fix this.
