Unpopular opinion, but I liked the Spanish take on the Samba; if Angela R. can do a Waltz in Paris, then Angela S. can do a Samba in Spain. 3/6 votes from me.

Yes, I loved the concept and the choreography - but I think Carlos is always very creative and his partnership with Angela just 'works' and makes the whole package.

Oooh, nice. I'm quite liking this sensual take on the Samba. It's unique. She executed it really well. Undermarked as hell, it really wasn't that bad. They seem to have it out for her in particular.

She’s also a trained dancer. She competed in Irish river dancing but doesn’t get the same backlash as Layton endures. Nigel has also done musical theatre. Ellie went to stage school. This is why judges have higher standards for some contestants

of course ANGELA/CARLOS should have got higher marks but i think the judges are playing games with the voting public by giving them low marks & criticising them to make out they are in danger of being in the dance off - which of course they will not lose!! i stick to my prediction that angela & carlos will win 'strictly' unless it is a 'woke' winner like last year when most people thought helen skelton should have won!!!

It's completely untrue!!! She was never in riverdance, yes she trained as a Irish dancer as have a vast majority of young Irish girls, but and its a big but it is a disadvantage In irish dancing your trained to kerp your upper body very straight and you dance from the balls of your feet. If you look back at the criticism from the judges, Angela struggles to ground her feet, so she is having to untrain what she has learned from a child.

What do the judges have against Angela S? She is fabulous, moves like a dream and is as funny as all get out. So entertaining - and yet boring Angela R gets praised to the hilt every week (not this week thank god) and Angela S is treated like an unwanted step child. She is fabulous. I know which Angela I'd prefer to see in the final

i think the judges believe angela s is one of the favourites for the title!! craig & shirley are using reverse psychology to get the public to vote for her!! ellie & layton have peaked too soon, while angela has yet to reach her peak which will be happening anytime soon, when the 10's start to flow!!! in my opinion!@@marcellaoreilly2730

Her top half might not be perfect but her footwork is better and more complex than others who are getting the same or higher marks.

angela has great legs & for me is the best dancer in the show!! the samba was never going to suit her because she is tall & leggy but she won't have to dance the samba again, so she can move forward when 10's will be awaiting her!!!

Deserved higher marks. Obviously not a " national treasure" unlike her namesake who can do no wrong. Hope she gets through as I think she is improving with every performance. Also as funny as hell.

Great song! But felt this number was a little disconnected. It was a samba styled as a paso doble for some reason. It was like wardrobe had bought a leftover flamenco dancer Halloween costume. Why not give her colourful feathers and a samba dress? She done a paso last week and I felt like this was a paso/samba hybrid to borrow that choreography. Wasn’t my favourite and I usually like Angela’s performances. Again it’s the choreography, so not really on Angela she’s fabulous. P.S. Angela don’t get hung up on the arms the judges mentioned. You’ll get it don’t let it get you down it’s easily sorted ❤ keep dancing 💃🏽

angela is the best dancer on the show!! she may have been in the bottom 2 & might even have to do a dance off but no way is she going home!! some of the dancers are getting high marks too soon & there will be nowhere for their marks to go but down!!

The flamenco stuff is inspired by the music video of this song, but I agree that the costumes were a bit much. Her dress should've been shorter.

@@Anonymous-xk4fyI agree tbh. Adam vs Krishnan for me and I reckon Adam will be saved. It’s a shame he could be in fear of leaving again because it was quite odd from last time. As much as I liked his dancing, it was a bit of standing around while Luba danced around him. Wouldn’t be too surprised to see Krishnan go, for me he’s the 1st weakest male dancer now. Also wouldn’t be surprised if Angela S was in the dance off because it was a bit stiff, which is a shame because I personally thought she’d do brilliantly as she has great energy like from her Charleston and I agree about the outfits, they looked more Paso Doble looking. And she only did that last week. More of a Paso/Samba really. I didn’t really like a certain thing about it but I can’t put my finger on it, so for me in the dance off it’s either Krishnan, Adam or Angela S. But I highly doubt she’ll go if I’m being honest here.

Angela Scanlan is absolutely gorgeous her husband is one lucky man.

Another couple I found underscored. She maybe in the bottom two since she is bottom. I reslly love that performance. 8/10

Score - *7/10* Well I loved the theming and dance this just looked abit awkward (I love how it's trying to correct to teeming, that's how it would be pronounced in Ireland anyway 😂) I felt the passion and focus was there, the rhythm and bounce was there and it started well but I just felt her footwork was too high up, she needs to get lower into the ground and it was all very throwaway and lacked detailed which is why it looked awkward tho for a Samba most of them are like that anyway so it doesn't take away that she is an amazing dancer and she has a great bubbly personality suited to Samba and they have a good connection together ❤❤

Samba is suuuuuuuuch a hard dance! And her hip and leg action was good! She had soft knees ankles squeezing together! Angela just needs to relax her upper body. But I can imagine it gets tight when you’re nervous

Interesting. I will say Samba is hard (everyone says it - I've seen it go wrong and its just not everyone cup of tea) so the thing with it was this Samba was good. Except from waist down it was lovely. Above I don't know what happened but just something did not click. 7.

I can't see what problem the judges have with Angela Scanlon and Carlos - they were great at this dance , as they have been with every dance - perhaps it's "unconscious" anti Irish bias , like poor Nicky from Westlife got particularly from Craig who really dosnt like women or Irish people - and Angela is both. Anton was fair enough and made a good point about how excellent Angela's knees were at this dance , and how often that detail of technique is overlooked. There are at least 3 other couples weaker than Angela and Carlos still.

It's obvious the judges sadly have it in for her 🙄 No way was she bottom on the night.

If one wishes to win Strictly, one must leave their inhibitions behind and master the Samba. See all the previous winners.

I really liked this dance and i love carlos choreo to these very untraditional songs. Whats really annoying about Angelas dances are all the moves are exactly where they should be but theres no like flair like i can imagine in my head what carlos wanted and even though the dance was correct and precise it lacked the flair needed. Its probably because it is very late in the competition to throw her in a hip action latin dance??? This dance shoulda happened a lot sooner. Also i love carlos to death but man i miss those classic samba moves man. That probably woulda helped with the scores a bit. 😅 7 for me

Very good but something just didn’t work out very well for me! Which is a shame because I really thought she’d do amazing as she has great energy like from her Charleston. I don’t know why I just think it looked very stiff and I can’t put my finger over my suspicion with the odd bit. But overall it was entertaining

5/10 Her upper body and lower body was doing 2 completely different dances, I feel like she could be a bit more light on her feet and could be a bit more sharper, also I feel like she danced a samba, in the costume and along to the music of a paso, weird.

angela was dancing to the routine carlos taught her!! the samba is not angela's dance but we all know she is a great dancer!!!

I thought it was okay for her first Latin dance that needs hip action it was okay the hips weren't really there though 6/10

Next is Angela Scanlon and Carlos Gu dancing the Samba. oh dear not her dance unfortunately. No hips, no energy and no sexy spice to this dance plus why did the costume department give Angela a Paso dress but for a Samba this dress is all wrong the dress covers were there is spouse to be hip action, all I can say that is positive is that at least Angela gave this dance a good go.

angela survived & has done 3 great routines since! she is a danger4 to all!

𝘀𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗲 : 7/10 the dance really didnt suit her at all. her footwork was spot on, i couldnt flaw it, generally. her hips were moving with carlos’ and overall they had good rhythm… from the waist down. her arms were all over the place, i couldn’t really follow, her posture was almost robotic, and it loooked like she wanted to scream the whole time. she needs to remember to lean into the dance rather then bending backwards. it doesn’t just flaw her, it also causes difficulties for carlos.
