@@jondunmore4268 I don't think Frank even sounded like this in the 70's? Did he? I saw him on a video use a foot switch and I thought there might be some trickery involved. I would have to hear him do a soundcheck. He has a super soaring voice these days. ??? ???? ???? I wonder how

@@rickr2029 -- Well, on the albums, he sounded like this, a little "thinner" timbre, and the few youtube videos you can see of them in their early days, he did sound this fantastic. I think he has worked hard to keep his voice in shape with vocal exercises and lessons over the years, keeping the tools in working order. And I guess clean living and rest helps as well!...

@@rickr2029 -- Also, that footswitch is his control of that delay on his vocals. He's got different settings (you'll hear a shorter delay during the verses, and then at the end of some lines, he'll switch to a longer delay. During guitar solos, he'll sometimes turn it off to avoid his mic picking up other signals and causing feedback delay loops). Instead of leaving it in the hands of the engineers (who usually control that), he's doing it himself. Regular touring bands have their own crew that know all their settings and when to switch them, but Frank is not in a "regular" crew position, so he carries his own arsenal of delay switches with him, to avoid any confusion.

Angel's best song next to The Tower. Too bad their later stuff was such an obvious attempt at bubble gum sell out due to record company pressure. They were a very good band at the beginning.

Worst flub was at 3:12 -- fat dude had to show him what's whaaaat.... I can imagine Frank kickin' Punky's ass in the dressing room like a battered wife.

I loved this band so much. Why does Punky look like Simmons

absolutely amazing. WHO is this bonehead woman in the front row who has her back turned to these golden gods? May the finger of scorn be pointed at her, wtf?

I watched this again and it could be angle of filming but consistent with other videos. Why is Frank always looking down? Is he concentrating on a teleprompter for lyrics? Just think he should try to be more engaging.

Rick R I spoke with him at a family gathering as he worked with one of them. He has his effect pedal board as he controls his echos on his voice.

@@Stevie.C I thought about that also. Isn't that the board operator's chore? I thought he might have harmonies pedaled too. I want to believe that what the audience hears is real and live. Is there "Any" acoustic videos of Frank that is stripped down sound? Please share if you know. I am just as in awe about his amazing apparently preserved voice as the next. And the looking down was concerning. Could you share a link or title of something else where we can hear more stripped down? Thanks!

Seeing a band in a club or tavern just seems so lame. Sorry I've been there.
