He'll get even better with time, as he adds experience & decision-making nous. Time helps in those areas. And lucky for him, his position & how he plays it, physicality & running speed are not important. Like Pirlo, he may peak in his early to mid 30's.

In the Conference League, Lille dominated Aston Villa and made their goalkeeper the highlight in both games. This is very relative. Villa looked 18th in Ligue 1.

It's the ball that should do most of the running.

If he was French, he would be at least be in the conversation of being in the squad for the Euros. Southgate is atrocious and the fact that he hasn't even mentioned Gomes shows how blind and bias he is.
