I did not know this man, but I was very moved by what I saw. Rest In Peace, Commander.
I can't even imagine what this family has gone through all these years wondering where their loved one was and what happened to him. He is home now and can finally rest in peace. Thank you for your service, sir.
As a Vietnam veteran my heart goes out to the family of the officer who died in service for his country ! Welcome home !
Oh my, what a long sorrowful time it has been for those who loved him. Glad he is finally home. RIP.

Hero.
Always rips me up seeing clips like these. I served 22 years in British Army, served alongside Americans in the Gulf...... Lost a couple of good mates, most gut wrenching thing I ever done was visit one of their families when I got home, told them exactly what happened. I'm proud to have served the free world alongside good allies, find it disgusting that anyone can dislike these clips
Welcome Home!! Thank you for your service and sacrifice! May God be with you and your family!
Welcome home sir thank you for your service and thank you for keeping America safe and God bless your family and god speed

I love there are those who say it took so long. My uncle served both Korea and Vietnam. Upon retiring he took the recovery job for remains found and aircraft found after natural disasters sometimes remains were still in their seats. After that he was in charge of security for the SD airport after 9/11. He always believed remains were held and bargained with when needed by Vietnam. As for identification not until DNA in the 90's were many identified unless returned with dog tags or personal items like a wedding ring. I remember in the 80's a soldier returned and buried on memorial day in the grave of the unknown soldier and watching my family and friends stand at attention when it was occurring after our memorial day parade in bridesburg. Because of DNA this man has since been returned to his family. Just remember history will always repeat itself. Those who have such negative things to say about our country will you stand up or hope for the best if another country pushes their boundaries since as we as a country are completely split.
Another brother from another mother, I was there too your home now brother looking down, we're here to honor you and and say thank you for your sacrifice and pray that we we see you again on the other side so we can can meet you and make our thank you more personal you are one of us and we thank God you lived and we grieve that you died and you will be in our hearts for the gift of life you gave up so that we might live. We will continue to pray for your family who sadly grieve for their loss as do we. And we ask God, " where do you find such fine young men as these".
Welcome home sailor and thank you for your sacrifice.
Thank you for your service Sir!
I wept like a Baby and I am a full grow man @ 63 years of age. Rest in Peace your home my comrade. (United States Navy Armed Forces Veteran---Two Honorable Discharges)

Did someone remember Mr Dollar bags Kaepernick this? Stand up for America, in good times and in not so good times! There's always a reason to be proud and (Kaepernick) , yeah, YOU Kaepernick, as soon as they remove my foot from your ___...feel free to Stand on your own two feet for this country. Now, Kaepernick, take yourself and your girlfriend, who also thinks America is not good enough and leave the country, please. Bet of you can probably be welcomed in North Korea or...geez, not too many other places would welcomed someone with your holier that thou attitude that you display....so good luck, happy trails, now go away. Most "Respectfully", (as if you know what that means).

@@beaglebeast3292 America is not a flag, it's a set of ideals. Ideals my father have his life in service. The freedom to burn the flag, because as he said, it's just a flag. If the ideals are lost the flag is just a ghost.

@@dallastaylor5479--It's NOT "just a flag". It is one of the symbols of our nation--the defining one for most people in the world. I, too, have served my nation. My service was at a time when we were spit on, the men called "baby killers" and the women "sluts" and "whores" . Yes, our service means that we protect the rights of others to protest the flag and our country's policies. However, what you and most of America seem to forget is that the military doesn't make foreign policy. The military carries OUT the foreign policy set by the POTUS and supported (supposedly) by Congress--people whom the hoi polloi elect, most times without thinking what the results of those elections will mean. These men and women, identified now by DNA, dog tags, and what personal effects were buried with them, deserve the RESPECT of those who reap the benefits of the freedoms for which men like LT CDR Frederick Peter Crosby gave the last full measure of devotion.

Vietnam War. A war that wasn't to be nothing more than a Police Action. Unfortunately, instead of making arrest, they forgot the handcuffs and brought body bags instead. I served during the Vietnam War, not there, but in South Korea. I came back to some very hateful feelings about Vietnam. But as Service members, you go where you are sent, do as you are told, and fight and die for your Country. To all, welcome home brothers and sisters
