Angel Delgadillo - 2022 AZ GCOT Tourism Hall of Fame Award
Angel Delgadillo, popularly known as the Guardian Angel and Ambassador of Route 66 in Arizona, shares a quick glimpse into why he worked so hard to get a historic designation for the famous road in Arizona. The impacts of his distinguished service, unique contributions and continuing involvement in Arizona's tourism industry are immeasurable. In 2022, he was recognized with the Arizona Governor's Conference on Tourism (GCOT) Tourism Hall of Fame Award.

I’ve been to his shop and met him. We started in Kingsman and went to Flagstaff not knowing ANYTHING about what we were getting into. We got a passport and stamps on the way at a garage outside Kingsman and stamps along the way. I heard how the Disney Imagineers came to hear his story and based it for the movie CARS. As you saw Buzz and Woodie in this video. Went to the GC and when coming back went out to Oatman and it was the best time driving that road. He literally saved Route 66 in AZ 👍🏼 I retire in 4 years and I will drive 66 from Chicago to LA 🙂

What a special guy.
I have a seriously thick beard and never had a straight razor shave before as I do not trust any Barber to give me a decent straight razor shave…but I would trust Angel to give me a straight razor shave…I would trust him to shave my privates (I am a male). I need to take a trip to his shop for a straight razor shave. :)

@@justinp5661 sorry to hear this…but not only because I will not get the experience of his straight razor shave…but because I have a feeling he is having health problems as he is way up there in age…I can look this up but I believe he is near 90? I saw a recent video of him riding his bicycle to work…that put a huge smile on my face…rarely do I see people his age still living like a much younger person. I hope he is retiring to simply enjoy the rest of his beautiful life and be able to relax more. …believer or not…God Bless Angel. 🙂
