Man, what a throwback.

I just want to say that Page Nielsen is the heart of this documentary. I’ve always made fun of other dudes for playing soccer, but for some odd reason found it appeasing and see more of a competitive edge with women’s clubs. Page had me from beginning to end. I’ve never been much for the Thorns (mostly because you never hear about them in this city), but I’m 100% going to try and become a season ticket holder as a means to support women’s soccer. Hopefully they don’t hate me in Portland anytime Angel City comes to play. That’s my number one team no matter what from now on!!!

Agreed on Paige; also appreciated the more tenured viewpoints of Christen Press - she's been around the block probably the longest of all involved. I wish they would've had more of Jun Endo, but I guess she was too self-conscious about the language barrier.

ACFC is a great project, but the performances on the field in their first two seasons leave a lot to be desired. I can't see Freya lasting past this season.

Yeah I know Press has been hurt, but Freya's just not it, I'm sorry. Even with Press out, there's still way too much talent on that team to not be near the top of the league.

Alright look. When it comes to football, its not just a kick about game innit. Its passion of the sport and club you fight for you get me. Proving that women can rise on the biggest stage is not enough. It's the badge on your shirt not the gender or name on your back. That's what makes a successful club. So make up your mind. Is this for the next generation of women or to win championships and become the greatest club in the world.

Women need to actually to and watch games first lol. You hear women crying about ‘equal pay’ yet the viewing figures and attendance are far apart. Women don’t try and get men equal pay on modelling etc because it’s supply and demand.

Lets see how long they go before they start whining that they aren't making the money of the Men's teams because no one is supporting them after the novelty wears off...

It's a cute film, but they're not addressing the elephant in the room. It's women's soccer. In general, soccer is very boring in America. No one really watches it. Maybe like less than 12% of Americans watch soccer. If you watch the trailer again, you will notice that the stadium is half full or less on average. Even in Europe where futbol is a HUGE deal, women's European futbol... No so much either. The average salary for a female soccer player in California is only $40,000 a year. If they're really really good at soccer they could make $80,000 per year. But that's rare in women's soccer. The average middle class income in California is between $81,000 to 104,500 per year. And if you're wondering why that is, it's because all american soccer teams have a salary cap of $800,00 and not a penny more. So that means each female soccer player needs to be from a two income family or she needs a second job to survive. Same thing with men's soccer. $800,00 team salary cap. The guys average soccer salary is only $60,000 pear year. A few men make about $300,000 per year. The biggest problem is, it's just NOT that popular here in america. 87% of americans will rather watch NFL football, basketball, baseball, hockey, boxing, and nascar/indy 500. That's why these leagues (all men) make annual salaries in the millions. Side note: David Beckham is probably the only athlete to make $32 million per year for the L.A. Galaxy soccer team. After his 5 years contract, he walked away with $477 million
