Tottenham have done well over the season, only Villa have perhaps exceeded expectations more than Spurs this season in the Premiership, next season should be exciting if the players remain fit.

I'll get behind the manager again when he accepts the team needs to work on set piece defence as a priority and especially corners. The amount of goals we concede from corners and absurd and yet Postecoglu claims there's no problem.

@@martinputt6421he’s not denied it’s an issue but it’s not going to solved all our problems if he puts all his focus into them. There’s holistic issues which need to be addressed as whole, probably the biggest one is the attitude and commitment of the players

If this was any other manager, I would want him out. Ange however has me hook line and sinker. I still believe in him, his attitude, his style of football and his ability to transform our team. We just need to push through this dark moment, hopefully with a big help from the club in the transfer window. I am happy with their investments so far. We need players that want to be here, want to fight for the club, the fans, for themselves.....and we need more of them. We criticize our own players as fans, out of frustration, but we only really mean to criticize their form, not the person. We know that most of our players can out shine any other opposition player on their day...and it's highly frustrating when they don't. It's about belief and confidence. I still believe.

The more I am a fan of the sports the more I realize how stupid the fans are, for the head of a manager who just dated coaching a club in the big 6 for the first time in his career and finishing 5 on the table with the worst spurs team in a long time that is insanely impressive and I hope he keeps his job and build the team the way he wants to. Remember arteta first prem season he finished I believe 8 to 12 and now shitnal is now one of the best teams in the world and even being a huge challenge against city and pep, that was able to happen because the fans trusted the process. There a reason why spurs as not who a trophy in a long time it because the fans never want to trust the process.

Currently, the manager has only one plan and currently concedes 54 goals and concedes 22 set pieces, but it is not a set piece problem.

Shake things up a bit and try something different. Start Lo Celso, Bentancur and Dragusin, try a 3-5-2 with Son/Johnson and Richy up front, VDV and Porro wing backs. Just anything less predictable. Please!

@@smokey_tych Arteta was learning from pep for years, you can't tell me the guy had no experience. His 4-8 years under pep are certainly more valuable than Ange's 20 years in leagues like Japanese and Australian.

We’re not beating Liverpool, but all I hope is we at the very least get Europa league football. Could be a huge boost if we could win it

Are there any planned attacking patterns based on various situations? You need a variety of new other patterns to attack when your opponents park the bus Only one same pattern of attacking every time.. it makes your opponent easy to win.

Epl is the place where coaches' brain battles and strategies are needed. You are stubbornly asking your players for your own dream football with only 1 tactic

Exactly he still had players like Cedric, Holding and Elneny starting in those first seasons. We still have a few like those to get rid of before we can begin to challenge for trophies.

It wasn't that long ago we were pretty much consistently mid table. These days finishing 8th is a complete calamity and 5th/6th place is still not good enough for some people in the following season. There's still so much to improve but I've seen more than enough to know we're going in the right direction.

I can forgive losing to the likes of Arsenal and Liverpool especially when they're in top form but we're even losing to teams like Sheffield and Fulham who are completely average in terms of quality right now. Not only that but we've not won a trophy in 16 years.

You do know you can have bad games -bad seasons even - in the past tense, and then be going in the right direction in the present tense? You are aware that single games aren't the be all and end all, right? You're free to disagree, but going from 8th to 5th, scoring more goals and getting more points is quite literally going in the right direction on at least three key metrics this season. It's not all perfect, but there's loads of good signs. Btw, please don't fuck about pretending we were anything special in 2007/2008 😂😂😂 We were proper fucking shite average mid table fodder back then... We finished 11th in the league, were 41 points off the top spot, and got lucky in a cup final... It was not a golden period of our history 😂 We're one of just a handful of clubs outside the 5 financial giants in the premier league era to have won a cup or two. Granted we've not had much glory, but we've never been as consistently high performing as we have been for the last 10-15 years, maybe since the 1960s when we were always in the top 1-8 teams. We've also managed to make ourselves one of the financial giants in the last 5 years and in my opinion we're slowly building something great on the pitch as well.

I've been through hard feeling for weeks, but now I'm still loving Ange, Son, Rich, Medison, Johnson, Pape... everyone playing for TOTTENHAM. I do believe in Ange. Come on your Spurs❤

He's a noble and sensible man in every aspect but one important aspect, he needs to be less naive and stubborn when it comes to acknowledging his faults. He always disregards set-pieces as a part of the game, when it clearly cost us a possible comfortable win against Arsenal, Chelsea, and New Castle. All 3 big games that we have shocked ourselves with. He needs a plan B, and if he keeps playing a suicidal high-line, I don't want to watch my club get 6 past them in the chance of us scoring atleast 2 every game.

If we lost a few more games early on and won a few more games this late stage in the season we would say it's a good season where we are. We are 5th! #COYS

This season we have had a new manager, new young players never played premiere league level, injuries galore, suspensions, players off for international duty and still sitting 5th. Not terrible. But thurs game was the worst i have seen most of the players perform.

토트넘 화이팅 !!! 흠.....최근들어 정말 골 결정력이 따라주지 않은 경기가 계속 이어지고 있다... 첼시전 역시 마찬가지로 세트피스로 실점이후 코너킥 상황에서 로메로의 슛이 골대를 살짝 벗어나지 않고 골로 연결 되었더라면 경기 결과는 달라졌을 것이라 생각한다... 1. 세트피스에서의 실점과 득점은 정말 한끗 차이다...분명한건 세트피스에서의 수비는 공격보다 더 어렵다고 생각한다...공격수들은 런닝 점프를 하면서 수비수들을 밀고 들어올 수 있는반면 수비수들은 제자리 점프를 하며 밀고 들어오는 공격수들을 커버해야만 하기 때문이다... - 그럼에도 토트넘이 세트피스에서 실점이 많은 이유가 상대 선수들은 너무 쉽게 놓치며 점프 타이밍이 이상하리만큼 맞지 않고 상대 선수들을 상대로 버티는 힘이 다소 부족하다고 생각한다.. - 특히 조금 길게 넘어오는 볼 과 패널티킥라인 안쪽에 머무르고 있는 상대 선수커버가 약한 편이다.. 2. 솔직히 첼시전에서 다시 질 것이란 생각은 하지 않았다....1차전에서 보여준 경기력이 나쁘지 않았을 뿐더러 2차전도 볼 소유 및 공격전개가 더 많았기 때문이었다... 하지만 첼시와 결정적인 차이를 보였다. - 공격 전개시 좀 더 디테일하지 못했으며 패스 정확도가 많이 떨어졌다.. - 센터링 시 동료선수와의 호흡이 전혀 맞지 않았다..동료가 들어오는 것을 확인 후 자신보다 조금 늦게 들어온다면 컷백으로 내줘 기회를 만들 수 있었으나 대부분이 골키퍼 앞쪽으로 연결하려고만 하였다.. - 패널티라인 주변에서 공간이 생겼다면 바로 슛을 연결해야 했으나 너무 안쪽으로 깊게 들어가려고만 했다.. - 특히 사이드 공격시 연계패스를 통한 공격이 아닌 대부분이 혼자 돌파를 택하다 보니 수비에 막히는 경우가 많았다...좀 더 빠르고 과감하게 침투하는 동료를 보고 연결시켜주는 연습이 필요하다.. - 손흥민이 너무 사이드에만 머물러있다보니 기회가 많지 않았고 고립되어 보였다....감독이 좀 더 공격적인 전술을 하려면 중앙에서 히샬리송과 간격을 좁혔다 넓혔다 위 아래 좀 더 다양한 움직임을 가져갈 수 있도록 하거나 윙백의 중앙 침투가 잘 이뤄져야 한다고 생각한다... 3. 첼시 공격 전개를 보면 왼쪽 윙백의 공격가담이 높아 깊숙히 들어오는 모습들을 볼 수 있었다...오른쪽은 손흥민을 의식해서 수비 비중을 높이는 모습을 볼 수 있었다..그렇다면 첼시의왼쪽을 집중 공략했어야 했다.. 4. 공격 전개시 앞쪽에서의 움직임이 적어서 인지 전방으로의 볼 연결에 어려움을 겪고 있다... - 최근 토트넘의 공격 전개를 보면 전방으로의 연계 패스가 어려움을 보이고 있다보니 계속 뒤로 보내거나 패스 연계시 머뭇거리는 모습들을 볼 수 있다...좀 더 과감하고 정교해질 필요가 있다.. 포스테코글루 감독의 전술은 매우 공격적이다...셀틱시절에도 매우 공격적이었고 라인 자체가 높았다...그러다 보니 전방에서 선수들의 움직임과 정교한 연계패스가 그만큼 중요하다...템포역시 빠른 편이다... 토트넘의 선수들이 감독의 성향을 잘 파악했다면 동료와의 호흡과 자신의 움직임이 얼마나 유동적으로 움직여야 하는지 알고 있어야 한다.. 다음 상대인 리버풀은 더욱 어려운 상대이다...솔직히 뛰는 거리 및 경기 템포는 토트넘보다 더 앞서고 있기에 수비하기 정말 어려운 상대이다..압박을 하면 뒤로 들어가는 선수들이 많고 압박이 느슨하면 바로 침투하여 들어온다... 수비시 기습침투하는 선수들을 조심해야 하며 거리를 두지말고 들어오는 선수들을 시야에서 놓쳐서는 안될 것이다.. 특히 디아스의 돌파와 수비 뒷공간 침투는 정말 무서울 정도이다...더불어 미들라인에서 조타 및 일부 선수들의 기습침투를 잘 커버해야 할 것이다... 반대로 공격시 반다이크의 스피드가 좋은 선수는 아니다....오른쪽과 중앙에서의 돌파 및 침투를 잘 이용해야 할 것이다.. 전방에서 볼이 들어올 수 있도록 계속 움직여주고 사이드 침투시 좀 더 동료들을 이용해야 한다... 히샬리송을 미끼역할로 손흥민과 오른쪽에서의 움직임이 활발해야 하며 침투패스를 넣어줄 시 머뭇거리지 말아야 한다. 센터링시 동료와의 호흡을 다시한번 맞추길 바란다...컷백일지 깊숙히 들어갈지....... 침체된 분위기를 다시한번 끌어올려 좋은 경기를 해주길 바란다...!!!

All I wanna say here, I'm 100% Ange in, I love the guy, I know he can rebuild this team and lead us to a good time. However, I sometimes feel like he's a bit stubborn. I really feel he should play Deki as LB, Lo Celso as the CAM and Bentancur next to Bissouma. Liverpool will be a hard match and I can't stand watching Emerson Royal doing a poor performance like yesterday's. COYS and back the manager you plastic fans here!

He never said he doesn’t care about set pieces, that was media sensationalism. His point is that this is a long term project. Set pieces are not his main focus as he is driving for long term substantial success.

What IS more important than set pieces is figuring out how to pass the fucking ball and score goals which the players cant seem to do at the moment.
