Hopefully with the increase of seats, I might actually get to go to my first competitive Liverpool game and first time to anfield

You need to be a Liverpool member just to buy a ticket. Though you can get some via other means. The season ticket waiting list is 27 years. Hopefully this new stand will reduce that, Liverpool could sell out 75,000+ every week easy.

@@golgotha3938 Being a member doesn't guarantee you a ticket, you still have to register for the ticket ballots and even then your eligibility requires previous attendance from past seasons. Even if you do qualify to go into the ballot they're always oversubscribed so there's still no guarantee you'll be successful. I'm not expecting any significant increase in season tickets but would assume that a large percentage of the new seats will be general admission tickets which should improve the odds of getting one in the ballots.

Would be great to see the SKD stand and the Kop have an exterior facelift like the brickwork in the Main Stand and New Anfield road end. Just has a modern but classic look to it. Not like the plastic bowl stadiums everywhere. However, it’s going to look and sound 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻 with the new Anfield road end!

They have to expand the dalglish stand definitely up to 70k in total after that hopefully they find a way to increase the kop that we have an 75-80k seater stadium like Old Trafford and Bernabeu

They can't do the kop end ,unless they get rid of houses behind it and it doesn't look like it

why havent they filled the corner in between main stand and this stand to create more seating?

Not possible due the main stand roof truss support, we can't infill any of the corners for the same reason.

Make the Kop all safe standing. Surely that will raise its capacity significantly, and get Anfield near to 70K?

I hope they find a way to do the other stands

To do that, the club needs to be more proactive, and work with the council. The council needs to invest in infrastructure. The club can move on how to free up that space being the kd stand. I haven't seen any evidence of any of this, other than some plans for transport for 2040.

Since they can't expand the Kop and the SKD stand, they should at least change the roof to match the other two stands.

Alot smaller than the other stand that was built shape looks really strange... Cant see it being done for the new season if the roof hasn't even came off yet still loads to do

That liverpool stadium is a classic ground it still has the old fashioned look to it but with the capacity of a modern stadium it’s absolutely beautiful i really don’t like those modern circular stadiums that look like spaceships

Nor me, there's a whole load of them on display at the current World Cup. Barely distinguishable from each other. I like the history of a club to be oozing out of the brickwork. Anfield and Villa Park have got it bang on imho.

Guaranteed 3 away games to start next season.

The new roof is nowhere near fully installed mate, there's still two sections of raker beams and concrete terracing to be installed at both ends, you can see some of the steel columns that support the raker beams are already installed.

Problem with that is they require sun and it's not as if you can store the electricity when the sun does shine :)

Lets hope it's a noisy Anfield and not the biggest library in europe.

It’s quiet against the “minnows” no doubt but Anfield always rocks during during important games and it is advantageous because the players can feel the atmosphere as well and give that extra 10%
