Anfernee Simons Pro Day Workout Impresses NBA Scouts and Coaches!!!

Спорт

From high school to the NBA, Anfernee Simons, a 6'4" combo guard, impressed NBA Scouts, Coaches and Trainers during his Pro Day at Impact Academy in Las Vegas, NV. He displayed above standard ball handling and shooting, a high IQ during a number of pick and roll reads, and strong finishes at the rim to show why he is ready now.

Monta Ellis like potential. Which is a pretty darn good comparison, if he can get to that level. Raw, talented, and very skilled offensively, but will need a lot of coaching/development and playing time (plenty of G-League) to become an upper-echelon NBA player.

Positions are close to meaningless in modern nba. What matters is play style. Kevin durant is 7 feet tall, would you call him a center? No he plays more like curry than he does most 7 footers. Theres guards wings and bigs. Simmons is a guard and you can classify ingram as a wing or a guard doesnt really matter at least on the offensive end. defensively positions typically matter more as ingram is much more capable of guarding wings than simmons would be.

Be suprise if he gets drafted tbh. Uber explosive, but he was missing quite a few contested shots that he honestly should be making if he were the “steal” and first round caliber prospect he’s being painted out to being. I think there’s a lot of intrigue in his youth and explosiveness, but there are more refined options in the draft that give you a defined ceiling and role player potential out of the gate. He won’t so I doubt he goes higher than high 2nd.

Lol 24th pick, and if Portland didn’t take him, LA would have with the 25th. Your basing the guys talent off a single low energy workout. He has hundreds of other games to watch man. Portland worked him out twice because they loved what they saw. Sometimes your off and your shot doesn’t fall. You can tell a good shooter by his misses. He didn’t air ball or brick anything.

B G I never implied it would. All I've said is that from the jump from high school and his graduate year, education was a large portion of his day. Now that he has an option to play professionally, he's likely to receive professional training and stay in the gym ALL DAY. He's jumping from high school to the pros, so he'll obviously need an adjustment.

PLENTY of HS players have been ranked top 10 and not dominate in college. Miles Bridges is probably the most recent. Or how about Kevin Knox? This kid Simmons is immature physically. He's never dealt with 30+ games. Tourney play + March Madness.. 82 would break him in half. If he gets drafted, he'll get exposed in SL and training camp. Will likely spend a year in the D-League. He's not ready. Talented. But not ready
